    Most expensive part of your eBike ? the battery, take it battery with you when you leave your bike unattended.

      My battery is just shy of 20lbs and partially embedded in the housing, not really practical to take it with me frequently.

    Chain and padlock works just the same (?) If you have to go somewhere at night or a bad area.. stick to daytime / populated areas if possible. Harder for thieves to work. Use common sense, be aware of where you are..

      wish that was true, saw a group of bike thiefs from a far distance during working hours. the bike was parked in populated areas and there was lotta folks around. Those folks didn't bat an eye when those thieves stole my bike in front of their eye. i saw them having bolts and angle cutter.

    Is the chain come with the bike? Or you have to buy one:?

      The chain is purchased separately and the one we mention here is the ABUS Chain Lock Pro Tectic 4960.

      @@kirkxu6348 Since the AXA locks that come with most Gazelles are not available in the states, we recommend the Abus 5750!

    Not a proper way to lock. I don't recommend.

      I couldn’t even see what he was doing with the first lock as the camera was behind the bike and circled around by the time he finished. Why do ppl who make videos not make things clear?

    Are cafe locks available for FAT(4") tire bikes?

    • @OregonEBikes
      @OregonEBikes  3 года назад +2

      Hey Ted,
      There aren't fat tire-compatible cafe locks (at least not yet). The "max" tire size is about 2.25" wide. The folding lock is still a good security option for your fat bike, though!

    Hello, do you have the specific information about this pre installed lock? I want to buy one for my T9 City! Thanks

    • @OregonEBikes
      @OregonEBikes  2 года назад +1

      Sure thing! The T9 City has the mounts for a cafe lock, but no lock installed to keep the price down. The AXA locks that come with most Gazelles are not available in the states, but it can fit the Abus 5750. If you want the frame lock keyed alike (one key for frame lock and battery) you need to change the lock cylinder on the battery too as it's an AXA part. Hope that helps!

      @@OregonEBikes thank you so much. Can I only use it for bike locking? To modify the battery seems to be complicated for me.
