Bohol can be a potential producer of cocoa because of its climatic conditions and soil characteristics conducive to cacao production.
DOST has partnered with the Bohol Deaf Academy in empowering persons with hearing disabilities to become self-sustaining through S&T intervention, focusing on livelihood development on cacao-based processing technologies that can help create an additional livelihood for cacao farmers.
