Hello sir, I have serious questions I'd like to ask you. Is It necessary to have your studio soundproofed or and mic booth if you're going to use that noise gate plug-in and is the ableton live noise gate just as good as Izotope RX ?
Ideally the better sound proofing the cleaner the vocals will be. You could always record under your bed, in a closet with blankets, underneath a comforter blanket or somewhere where you can eliminate echo. The gate plugin will help you get rid of background noise and humming sounds but it will not fix room echo
i cant find a single video showing ableton where it looks the same as mine. just right off the bat the live button at the top, the first thing you do. mine doesnt have. im using ableton live 12.

yep I've done it before. Download the karaoke song from YT and then click and drag into Ableton
drag and drop the file from your file browser onto an audio track in Ableton

You can always turn it up in Ableton, but make sure to try turning off each plugin individually. Maybe one of them is stopping it from playing
