@@gipsymelody1268Would be interesting for Richter to find this puppets, with Alucard speaking with nostalgia about them (having kept those dolls as mementos of his first friends)
4:37 I know I'm very late, but the symbolism of this scene is huge, because the entire time we see Dracula in his study, his chair is turned towards the fireplace, because if he kept it turned towards the doorway, he'd constantly remember that moment of his family, all while trying to wage a war to exterminate all of humankind.
Spoilers I guess. Honestly, I think the most messed up scene for me in the entire series is his final section with Sumi and Taka. Not only because these two, basically kids in Alucard's eyes, come into his room and technically SA him, but in the middle of it, they also prove to Alucard that Dracula kinda had a point. Humans are untrustworthy, prideful and overall just evil, and even though in Sumi/Taka's case that evil is somewhat understandable, it still doesn't make what they do to him AND what they force him to do any less evil. Just like his father, Alucard trusted humanity, and humanity failed him. And you can see how much that hurt him. I'm honestly just glad he didn't end up like his father. Good thing Greta came along and showed him that humanity is actually worth fighting for. That wallowing in your own sorrow can only result in more sorrow towards others. If you think about it, Alucard is one of the most mentally strong characters in the entire franchise, games or otherwise.
I wish we were given a chance to see Alucard get some happiness in his life. I love the new series. But i do wish the story would've continued with the new village and Alucard having children of his own, with the village elder that he helped.
Same here. He's such an interesting character and I really sympathise with him. He's such a beautiful awkward yet fierce soul. He needed his own little series about the village and how they cope after the war was over
@serena3673 And the worst part is that he wound up in the same position as his father. Hurt and betrayed by humans he thought he could trust. Obviously, he didn't have to mount them on stakes. But it's like the saying goes: either you break the cycle or you're doomed to repeat your parents actions.
1:30 Alucard's tone is somehow reminds me of the unicorns from Charlie the Unicorn... And on that note, it's a Magical Liopleurodon, Charlie, it's gonna guide our way to Candy Mountain.
If he is a teenager, it wouldn’t only be about how capable or mature he is, but about the grownth that life experience gives you and that he doesn’t have a all. He’s spent a year sleeping in a coffin and i don’t think he had much of a life before.
@@IATEALLTHECHEESE so he was 19 when he locked himself in coffin. Probably closer to 18 when his mother died. God knows how old he was when his father went away to travel or how old he was when people starter treating him like a tool against him
If I would've been in that story with them possibly from the modern future, I would've kept gushing and talking about all the useful and important things in the future, would have hugged Alucard and any of the other characters when they would've needed it, and I would have told them all I could about psychological treatment, mental trauma and how to heal it, and such like. I would've told Alucard to leave his castle because alone in that huge-ass building with all those memories is bound to make anyone depressed and crazy, and I would have called for a child protection squad THE ENTIRE TIME!!!!
Tell me I am not the only one who has big crush on Alucard❤ he's like a prince in a fairy tale ❤ , if he was real I'd date him in a heart beat 💜 he's a perfect in every way , what them twins did to him made me so angry 🥺
Holy shit I didn't think it possible but the little comments beneath each clip somehow make these scenes even funnier! Lol at the CPS comment. Kinda hate how the anime made Alucard a teenager in an adult's body? Makes having a crush on him really weird for me. Also just seems really out of the blue and pointless, why have Alucard (and by extension vampires/dhampirs in general) age at an accelerated rate? Also do they slow down once they reach adulthood or what? Dracula has been alive for centuries and looks to be possibly middle-aged or slightly older, so I'm guess they slow down a lot after they reach adulthood. Furthermore, can vampires and dhampirs die of old age? I think Drac's immortal but is Alucard also immortal or what?
The real questions are being asked here lol! It's definitely not my favorite concept that they presented either, I assume it was to better support the somber nature of their mission because it hits differently if you think that a teenager is basically going through all that he ends up going through, but for me the same probably could have been easily accomplished with him just being a young adult with little experience outside his upbringing.
@@thedawnoffandom1444 Same yeah, it's a concept I really hate. In the games he's just an adult, that's it. I think having to fight your own father and orphaning yourself is traumatic no matter the age.
Lol don’t worry, he’s not ACTUALLY a teenager in an adults body, he’s mentally 20 years old. And even then, he’s half vampire, so his mental maturity is not the same as a human being. And of course, he looks and acts like an adult. In summary, you can crush on him as much as you like no matter what your age is.
am i crazy or is that second to last heartbreaking clip where he's crying on the floor not in the show itself? where did u find it? it looks like it should be but this is the first time i'm seeing it and its BREAKING me but i need to see it in context because it's obviously after taka/sumi but (at least in my country's version) it cuts away from him saying "i never lied to you" and we only see him at the end of the episode in the forest walking to the castle all desolate and angry being like "abandon all hope. this seemed to work well enough for dear old dead dad"

I love how regularly they talk like it feels real lmfao not scripted
Castlevania has the most realistic dialogues in all of anime
It’s a part of anti-narrative.^^ They talk just for the sake of talking, just like in real life.
I love how Alucard always has the right words to say to every response he's given. His dialogue is so well-written.
I feel bad for Alucard for losing his mother. He really needs a hug.
He lost both parents pretty much on the same day, his mom died, and his father died inside and went insane.
