Hey I'm the winner for this episode...well from my comment on the last video but announced on this video. I think the steering will be impacted by the lower control arms when compressed. Very existed about seeing this thing go.
Don't judge mercedes oem engine mounts, they are soooo flumzy but are hydraulic and with the vibration of the engine will get stiffer and the engine will be firm, keep up with the great content guys!!
When I was a kid my dad bought a 1987 190E (with the single windshield wiper) and I don't know how it was so fast, but it really was. My dad bought a new (at the time) 1994 BMW 525i and mom had that car. The odometer stopped working at 256k miles and she drove it for another 3 years after that (including a trip from Allentown, PA to Tampa, Florida) and the only reason that she sold it is because the water pump went bad and the mechanic wanted a crazy amount of money to replace it. I have ALWAYS wanted to buy either an E34 BMW 525i, or a get a 190E and modify it.
They should get the Double X and then just some stock 350R mufflers. And without the cats that thing is going to be insanely loud and glorious sounding. I wish my GT was GT350.
Off on a tangent: Ford, Ford, Ford, what were you thinking back then... Beautiful flat-plane crank V8, with the potential to sound like a Ferrari V8, only to use some Frankenstein type headers with non-equal-length runners and a bizarro 2-into-1 + 2 singles in a 3-into-1 lay-out. 😯
Easily one of most interesting motor swaps I've seen! It would take custom or modified uprights and a different rack (opposite rotation), but it seems like moving the rack in front of the engine would be much easier fitment wise.
This is going to sound amazing when its done, slap a couple of turbos on it in the future and nothing will stop you, but i think that diffs probably gonna be the thing to go first, that or the sterring rack lol!!
I see a brake union. Did you guys get rid of the ABS and just run standard brakes? What proportioning valve are you using? Keep it up. I know this message is 5mo behind but it looks great.
Insane build guys. Did you think about running the driver’s exhaust over the bell housing and running back with the N/S, and keeping the stock steering?
first thing on th car that breaks is probably the shift linkage from sending it, or the budget when you go into a full rebuild on the rest of this cool car
It might have issues with steering, the angles in the two knuckle joints from the steering shaft seem very large to me, but you surely will have tested if the shaft can rotate freely without any binding in these joints? Can be different however with the added weight of the wheels attached and under force loading from cornering.
you may or may not have a issue with binding or just a lot of slop when it comes to your steering shaft. Its at a pretty extreme andgle when it comes to the u-joints. It may just be from the way your filming it, but I thought i would say something in case you run into issues later on.
Hey guys! Please think about trying to level out all the chatting audio during the editing process. Most of yalls videos I have to lower and increase the volume throughout the entire video. Otherwise, great content.

First thing to break will absolutely be the budget.
It’s going to be a Neck breaker. Man I can’t wait to see it done ✅

you guys build bad ass cars , i do not understand why this channel subscribers is not over 2 million +
I’m super excited for this series, y’all never disappoint

Yeah at low torque situation they are awesome. Just Put shit ton of torque And no so good anymore.
*constant torque*
My vote for first thing to break would probably be one of the cameras !!!
Like how you guys tackle these builds. Pleasure to watch! Keep it up!
Love how much custom work you guys just knock out.
I am saying the lower control arm will the first to fail. Really dig the builds you guys do .
That steering coupling would be the first thing to break. Love the outragenousness of this build.
First thing to go is the window regulators for sure. Motor and trans will be just fine. That thing is a beast.
Good job on the headers

I grew up in a 190 diesel🥰
This thing would sound super badass with the corsa double x pipe going to the back with some mufflers I love yalls crazy ass yet still clean builds
They should get the Double X and then just some stock 350R mufflers. And without the cats that thing is going to be insanely loud and glorious sounding. I wish my GT was GT350.
Definitely gonna break the bank on this one
Definitely excited for the first start video. Keep em coming guys. Glad you are posting more.
Nothing will break and it will be full awesome from the start.
I miss the foodie part of these shows. 🔥
Excited to see the first Drive.
Definitely one of the coolest builds on RUclips right now 😎 👌 keep em comin, I'd say and axel will be the first thing to break
Dig the intro boys! Everything looks awesome!
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO , I ENJOYED THE HEADER MOD !!!
Nice to see more progress on the Merc. Can't wait to see that m120 that's been sitting on the shelf in something though.
What a great ride. One of the most interesting builds yet! Good 👍 job on the headers.
To get the juices flowing, the car will definitely break the tires first 👍
Off on a tangent: Ford, Ford, Ford, what were you thinking back then... Beautiful flat-plane crank V8, with the potential to sound like a Ferrari V8, only to use some Frankenstein type headers with non-equal-length runners and a bizarro 2-into-1 + 2 singles in a 3-into-1 lay-out. 😯
I guess sacrifices had to be made to make it fit in a Mustang?
cracked header. wicked awesome build guys
Liking the variety!
Easily one of most interesting motor swaps I've seen!

Bulletproof no cap
It’s gonna break some necks!!! It’s fire as always 🔥🔥🔥
I am freakin hyped for this build, regardless of what breaks first lol
Snapping axles for dayyyss
Nice intro boys
The Voodoo engine. I really don’t think it will, but that’s my guess. Always👍🏼 for this great channel!
At 10:04 kinda sounds like he’s spitting bars with that flow
Looking great. Reckon the diff will be your fuse on this one
The only thing that will break is the heart of the guy who lines up next to you.
I love this build!!!!
Mercedes electrical will be the first thing to break. Drivetrain seems solid.
I cant wait to see some rolling burnouts in this thing
Im just here for the shades 😎 but i love the fab work. Curious to see if that diff is strong enough to survive the first launch
Frigging great vid lads 👌👍
That steering doesn’t have any binding when steering it?just pretty extreme steering shaft angles. Impressive if it wrks smoothly.
Exactly what I was thinking!!!
Axle breaks for Shure , like a tooth pick 👍🏻
Can't wait for this car to be done. The car will break loose first.
Your thumbnail should have 8250 on it instead of 8000.
This is going to sound amazing when its done, slap a couple of turbos on it in the future and nothing will stop you, but i think that diffs probably gonna be the thing to go first, that or the sterring rack lol!!

Please tell me you’ve got some wild DTM wide body kit for this Merc.
Did you change cameras this week? Quality on a tv looks much better
Four hours ago? Ep. 2 I think I’ll sub
Insane build guys. Did you think about running the driver’s exhaust over the bell housing and running back with the N/S, and keeping the stock steering?
There’s nowhere near enough room to do that. The stock steering was just way too big.
great work! So, where's the single rotor Boxer?
first thing on th car that breaks is probably the shift linkage from sending it, or the budget when you go into a full rebuild on the rest of this cool car
Mans always has sandals on in the shop 😂
I think the trans mount/brace will break first
Did you consider a manual rack for that instead to be even smaller of a rack? You're gonna break that rear end I bet. Does this have limited slip?
1st thing to break motor mount
It might have issues with steering, the angles in the two knuckle joints from the steering shaft seem very large to me, but you surely will have tested if the shaft can rotate freely without any binding in these joints?
Can be different however with the added weight of the wheels attached and under force loading from cornering.
In some of the shots the one joint isn’t slid all the way down the splines. We did test it full installed and it works
you may or may not have a issue with binding or just a lot of slop when it comes to your steering shaft. Its at a pretty extreme andgle when it comes to the u-joints. It may just be from the way your filming it, but I thought i would say something in case you run into issues later on.
Great build. Wished tnere were more videos of it tho
First Start video droppin soon!
Being such a crazy build I'd say the input shaft on the drive shaft will break first even though I hope it doesn't
That’s a big head
What u-joint did you guys use with that later model steering rack?
I think a suspension component will break first. Hopefully not tho
The differ will spin out
I'm thinking the rear diff will be the first thing to go...
I would like to swap om606 on my 1985 Mercedes 300cd what transmission should get?
First thing to break is the bank.
I remember back in the day my mom's 1987 190E had constant issues with that single windshield wiper motor and it was $1000 every time it went bad.
Was t your mom's or your dad's?😂
Where is the 1 rotor?
an octopus's brain is donut shaped
Hey guys! Please think about trying to level out all the chatting audio during the editing process. Most of yalls videos I have to lower and increase the volume throughout the entire video. Otherwise, great content.
Rear diff I feel like might pop first
Also…..is there an update on this build?
Probably would have been Easier if you started with a 400e/e420 chassis that’s was already modified by Porsche to fit a Dohc v8.
I'd suspect the Diff is living on borrowed time if kept Stock
I could see breaking axels if you end up trying it at the drag strip
The steering shaft , diff or axles
What diff are you using ?
One of the rear axles are probably going to break. That or the diff
The timing chain is the first thing to pop
Id say to make sure that the oil filter doesn't losen and catch fire like @adamlz gt350 did!
I bet that Westen Champlin has another engine swap perspective 🙂🚗💨💨💨💨 cummins mustang 😂
The top steering u joint looks at a severe angle on video, hope it turns ok.
That minimum effort header is better that i could do with max effort.....
I think depending on how sticky the launch is, the stock rear diff might not like the extra power lol
#1 son
Any updates on this? It's almost been a year.
Wont that steering get fuckey when you hit a bump I think something in the driveline maybe u joint pinion gear yoke
axles be breaking :P
So wait... you're takin' a diesel W124 and not Powerstroking / Duramaxing or 6BT swapping it!?
Still gonna be a ripper though I tell ya hwat!
Looks like S10 knuckles
TT 😈
My money is on the rear axles or those control arms
Windscreen wipers
Going to be the diff when someone 8k drops the clutch. 😂
Hopefully the first thing that breaks is traction. 😉
