Thanks for the tips! Confluence Cloud looks cool!
I love your knowledge and expertise very clear and up to the mark needed what one wants no more unnecessary talk or more talk. Great job
Thanks a lot @Shrinivas - but if you have any topic wishes or improvements - let us know :)
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Thank you! We're glad you liked our video. If you have any other pain points with Confluence, let us know!
Thank you so much. This is great overview.
Thank you for your feedback. Appreciate it!
one of the best confluence videos! thanks mate!
Thank you so much!
Excellent tips 👍🏾
Thanks Craig! Glad you liked it!
Hey team, love this content-so helpful. I was wondering if you have any tips for someone in a client facing role on how to take notes on clients? Currently using a single google doc with separate headings for each client and I feel like there’s a better way to organize information by clients without over engineering it
Hey,
thanks for your feedback and question.
We do actually have a video about creating overview pages in Confluence.
Video: www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/videos/confluence-best-practices/your-content-at-a-glance-with-overview-pages-in-confluence
This might be the solution you're looking for. You can create an overview of your clients and underneath you keep all the informations, meeting notes, etc.
We also do have a livestream about it where we show it a bit more step-by-step on how to create something like this: www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/videos/confluence-best-practices/livestream-lets-clear-the-clutter-in-atlassian-confluence-with-overview-pages
Hope this is helping.
Cheers,
Steffen
Great videos!
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the tips! Good stuff. Has anyone figured out a way to put buttons side by side (other than using a table - tables don't respond well)? It worked so well in server, but cloud seems to break so many things, and this is one of the more awful ones for us. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hey Chris,
Thanks for the feedback!
What kind of buttons do you try to put side by side? The "Create from Template" button should be placeable side by side.
@@_k15t create from template? No I mean ANY button. Or fit that matter any image? For some reason that’s not possible. So silly.
@@ChrisPurser unfortunately this isn't possible in Confluence right now. Macros take always the full width of the page and since buttons do act as macros this isn't possible. The only thing beside tables is to try out the page layout feature but it will be the same effect as in a table.
At 5:13 of the video, how do you add a search bar inside of an image in Confluence?
Hi Meghan,
this isn't Confluence anymore, it's the content from Confluence displayed with our app Scroll Viewport. This app allows you publish your selected Confluence content as a help center as you see at 5:13. This includes the search with the background image.
In Confluence you can't add a search on top of an image.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Steffen
PS. This is the app if you want to try it for free: marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211636/scroll-viewport-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
At the 3:03 mark you place 3 boxes and another 3 onto the second row. If I wanted 6 boxes on each row how would I do that? Do I create custom css?
Hey friend, unfortunately that's not possible in Confluence Cloud. In this case, we use page layouts set to the three-column setup, and three is the maximum number of columns available.
Custom CSS isn't an option in Confluence Cloud, though, you could try using a table to create a "six column layout" but this probably won't give the results you're looking for.
Good luck, and happy page building!
Which version of confluence is this? looks really different from ours, we don't have "info panel" macro, only "info" macro
Hi,
we're showing always Confluence Cloud, you probably using Confluence Data Center or Server.
Are you missing a feature which is mentioned in the video? It might be called differently.
Can you use confluence to share ideas and chat
Hi,
you can use Confluence to create pages to document your idea e.g. and share that with people (also outside of Confluence).
Not sure what you mean by 'chat' but you and others can comment the idea with inline comments, etc. we've made a video about that you might want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/-z5z3xva1E8/видео.html
I just wish the layout had the option to add borders T^T
Hey,
unfortunately it seems Atlassian turned down this improvement request already: jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-30563
In which context would you have used it?
Cheers,
Steffen
bubble boy
You went too quickly over the important stuff and too slow over generic basic introduction
Thanks for the feedback! We're hoping to create a new version of this video soon with updated information, so we'll keep your perspective in mind.
