Yes. Onions and garlic good for your health. I have started putting them in the ground here in East Texas. Love greens. Even our grandson love them. We are blessed so we try to bless others with the extras we have. Thanks for the tour of the garden. We are trying a hoop greenhouse this year. We like tomatoes for our salads . Greenhouse has saved our lettuce, basil,...
❤Potatoes. I just leave them in the ground until I need them. I cover in the winter with 6. Inches of mulched up leaves and grass The potato 🥔 bucket method is what I use during the spring/summer. Sunchokes? Cabbage/Cauliflower/Broccoli/radishes these guys are still growing Planted for the first time this year is garlic and onion bulbs 💡 had three days of almost 70s weather and they sprouted through the 6 inches of mulched up leaves/pine needs. Crazy
I love gardening. I live in the Texas Panhandle and and due to no rain my garden has been very limited again. I will try again in the spring. I love any kind of fresh vegetables! Love the Macs! ❤
I love your tour of gardens. I am handicapped, but I still have small spaces I grow veggies. I will never stop. Thankyou for your inspiration, and God bless ❤
Im w you, girl! Garlic and onions my fav!!! In pretty much EVERYTHING I prepare to eat! Grow my own or get onions grown by local farmers as much as I can😊
It is so cool that you do not have to go to the grocery store much at all. Between your freezer and fresh veggies and canned, and buying in bulk, you have it all. Was that Josie you were petting at the end of the video? You will have fresh milk again soon. I am watching and wondering when she will deliver!
Garden looking great. I love rutabaga anyway I can get it. My son will only eat it if I dice up like potatoes, toss with some olive oil and air fry. It is amazing
We love our winter garden! We've been getting lots of greens & broccoli. Keep my onions & garlic down the side of garden. We had to put up an electric fence several years ago, the deer will eat more than us if we didn't have it! Thanks for sharing with us, we've learned a lot from you & Colby even if we are closer to 70 than 60 now lol. Love & prayers to all 💜 🙏
I'm super jealous, you can grow all year around. Your gardens are so amazing. For the last 2 and half months I've had killing frost or as of now snow coving the ground. Even with our mild winter, our high for the day was 30 degrees Fahrenheit, our low was 12 degrees Fahrenheit. We have about 4 months of growing season. We are going to be putting up a couple of greenhouses, we already have one hop house for our vine plants 😁 The deer here, jumped my garden fence this year and they are always breaking through our electric fence for the pasture, where the steers are.
You have many bases covered Misty, in all the varieties of crops you grow. And the greenhouse is really nice, healthy healthy lifestyle! Do you ever use the deep bedding from the chickens, for compost and enriching your raised planter beds? That'll really make things grow. Plus the cow manure from your cattle would be really great too for those raised planter beds (aged cow manure).
Love the garden! I'm slowly expanding mine too. Got cabbage, brussels, broccoli and cauliflower growing for the first time. Also have garlic and onions down too! Can't wait to see how they do
Were in the North and the only thing I can grow out side is garlic but that is waiting till early summer to harvest. Trying some greens indoor this year. God's blessing to you and yours
I can’t grow leafy greens. No room but I’m buying and dehydrating them! I’ll combine different types and make powder. I gotta hide the greens from my kids.
We live in SW Florida. I have a hard time growing anything. My husband put the seeds in the he garden way to close is one of the reasons. Won't start a garden until spring. Can't wait to see your new calf.
I put my garlic in the end of September 😊 the garden bug can't start until late March or April 😮however i am trying my hand with microgreens. If it's a fail my chickens will love it😊 Merry Christmas to the Mac's. Continue to pray for you, your family and both of your channels. Im thanking God for being able to follow both channels. Thanks 😊
If you'd have said Collards, I'd say give me 18 hrs to get there🤣 LOVE COLLARDS, yup I'm a northerner, but lived a long time in NC and got hooked on them! ...I like rutabaga too, didn't think I would but cooked right they are delicious...but I'm a turnip fan too...I DO love my veggies😅
LOL LOL I need to get some herbs and use them on the squirrels that ate my garlic and other stuff, when I had tomatoes planted they ate the green ones too. I cannot do much any more, I know I sure could clean them squirrels for dinner, LOL LOL.
I'm so sorry! It's tough enough trying to grow much less when animals get into it! The only thing I could suggest if it's a small spot try to use some red pepper flakes on your veggies as they grow
❤Thanks Misty I'm looking at raised beds this year weeds were terrible very defeating got lot of food but not pretty and too much work. What do you plant in ground besides corn? ❤❤ from eastern Colorado
I had a neighbor that ran 2 rows of yellow caution tape the entire way around the garden. He swore by it and said the deer won't cross it. One row has to be at their head height.
I have bad sinuses. What do you recommend I take or eat to get better. I am a diabetic with blood pressure problem and high cholesterol. I love your channel.
No processed food or refined sugars! Stick with God foods- raw fruits and vegetables, natural sugars like honey and maple syrup, organic meats I know a young lady who snored as a child- she was taken off refined sugars- and less than two weeks - she could breath again at night and no more snoring!
Misty how long can you keep package seeds. For the past couple years we have had too many wild animals in my neighborhood along with the horrible squirrels. I did get some seeds to plant but like you with the deer I'm afraid in will be for nothing. Enjoyed watching.
I just love your channel. So are you 7a or 8b? I know we used to be 6b, but they changed it to 7a. Im concern, did it really change, or is it them wanting to mess with our growing, I also see they have been spraying your skys as bad as they been here too
Just checking if i heard you right, did you say that the carrots have to be left alone 2 years to produce seed? Any special instructions, and any recommendations on varieties ( of all the vegetables....leafy greens, onions garlic and carrots) that do well in the hot south? We are in SC
Ty for showing your lovely vegtable production

Did you grow all your seedlings and when did you start them? I live in the south zone 8 a
Yes from seeds - first of October

3, 5
your sky looks like you have a lot of cemtrails.

Years in the freezer! And probably two plus years in a dark cool space for storage
High fences for deer 🦌? Cost benefit analysis. Nice place taking somewhere else. The deer don’t get into the raised beds by the house?
Not usually - we have dogs
