I have to agree, I truly love this BMW, Billy's Machine on Wheels, I have three BMW's and I would love to trade in one for this Alpina. I have seen this video many times and I am not tired of watching it over and over again. BMW is my passion.
I grew up on BMW bro..I don't if I heard it or learned it..but once u drive a BMW nothing else competes for the level of money 750il,330ci,550i xdrive,328 xdrive and my pride and joy F10 m5..much respect to ur b7 bro...the 90s BMW was hard to maintain, early to mid 2000 BMW was hard to maintain..2013+ are solid reliable bro
I have a 2015 B7, bought it in 2017, had 25,000kms.. (ontario, canada) now has only 40,000 kms, only drive on those nice summer weekends. Love the car. Love the minor adjustments to your car, was thinking about doing the same. So subtle, yet makes a big difference. Congrats!
This is one of my dream cars! When I purchased a 1999 bmw 740il gold color, I fell in love with it. It has a lot of room in the back seat. I laid in the back seat for a while and my wife said I was crazy! She said I pay more attention to my cars than her. I just love bmw (Billy's Machine on Wheels) :0)
What a special find. That stance is masterful. H&R springs are so underrated but they've made it their business to perfectly groom already handsome German sedans. The color, the badging and the executive gangster paradox. You can fulfill both roles depending on your mood. Naughty and Nice. So classic and clean and speaks directly to those who are savvy to the heritage, appointments and powerplants of Alpina. A true collectible bro.
What I should have said is that they should be rated higher. Like on top. I don’t think enough people understand that they are the best when it comes to German cars.
Can you comment on the specifics of the lowering and mm of spacers to achieve this stance? I would appreciate it as I am picking one up this week. Would love to mimic what you have done here. Gorgeous
She's a beaut! I been looking hard for a 2015-17 since I dont like the new body style…. First thing im doing is blow off valve, down pipes and test pipes with a tune.. Boom done! Shell sound dangerous!!!!!
I didn’t end up pulling the trigger. I started looking into Audi S8’s from 2013-2015 and am leaning in that direction due to ease of tunability and driving dynamics. Plus they are fast as hell.
Ah I feel you, thanks for the reply! I’m thinking about getting the 2012 and just keeping it for 2-3 years and trying to avoid issues haha! They’re beautiful
I think if you can find the right one that’s decently maintained and planning on spending a little money on maintenance that you can nearly drive them for free or close to it for a year or two. Kinda money in money out because of how rare and well liked they are. And I think there are things you can do yourself or for fairly low cost like paint correction and keeping it super clean that in the end can really pay off.
Bmw steering is amazing. Super small turning ratio. Gotta 08 535 with mods. Oh man an old M coupe. Fun. I'm old lol an alpine is my next deal. Used there a killer deal. Maintenence I'd like to know what you have ran into. And where you take yours.

I just ordered mine white mineral with white leather, black carpeting, executive seating, grey poplar wood, and bowers and Wilkins sound system, ceramic coating and clear bra treatment. Cannot wait!
I know it has been 3 years since you posted this video but if you see this comment can you please tell me any mechanical issues you had come across with this car. I want a 2011-2013. Thank you long time. I want a 211-2013.
What a shame you are not in Germany . I would have bought this one immediatly .. I wonder how direct is the Steering and cornering ? Is it a Big difference compared to the normal 750i ? One thing I am cautious about is the behaviour of the Car. I dont want to Feel a comfort bis sized Car while Steering and cornering .. It should be stiff ..No Body Roll and so on .Direct Steering from the Center . Its the only thing that would or could stop me from buying one if this is below my expectations . Or would you say that the Comfort Mode is very Soft but Sport Mode very Stiff and direct?
Just curious being new to owning a BMW I’m buying used from a lot not private sale and what I should look out for as far as warranty goes to ensure I’m covered long term
hello....very beautiful car.....i want to buy the alpina b5 e60...does anyone know if there is something that does go wrong with this engine??what schould o look for when buying one....thanks...cool b7 by the way
Michael I do not still have the B7. Was a very cool car and tons of character. No issues all. In hindsight it really is a keeper. I just rarely keep any car ;-). I suspect if we’ll maintained it would give many miles of dependable service.
Do you get your hooning fix with this? i i like to drift nothing crazy but roundebouts and stuf. my current E32 does this perfectly. I saved op long to get another car but im afraid it wil not give me the hooning fix i need? what do you think? Looking to get 750i LCI RWD and do remap of the ECU and Trans
Well it's a BMW and the sticker price is like 100,000. You go the math, these engines are notorious for going out and become impossible to fix. Which is why you can find one for less than a Kia on any car lot.
Thanks for the great perspective on this very special vehicle. I live in Chicago and am considering flying out to Austin to take a look at a 2011 B7 which I've been eyeing. Identical to your, except that its Black/Black with rear entertainment package and X-Drive (need it in Chicago). How do you think this model compares to the earlier 07-08 models that had a supercharged engine? Mine would be a daily driver as well. Thanks!
I have owned a 2007 B7 and a 2011 B7. Both were powerful but the SC 2007 seemed a lot quicker. There was lag in the twin turbo B7 that was very noticeable. I recently sold the 2011 and now have a B6. If you do get one, make sure the miles are low and get a warranty if you are able.
Cferg1, I'm glad I came across your comment, because I was debating between the B7 and B6. Since you've owned both, which do you prefer and why? Thanks.
May I ask what size spacers you used? The stance is about as perfect as you can get. Have begun my search for an Alpina B7 and would love to have this knowledge going forward
I had three inspected by a certified BMW mechanic recently for "pre-purchase" eval. One had an easy $9,000 in deferred maintenance ... problems with flex--discs, leaks near the cylinder heads etc. The other (the one I just bought) has about $1,500-worth of issues. The last one had few issues, but I had a strange gnawing trust issue with the owner, so I passed. If you can do some of the work, you'd save 90% on most repairs for this car. If not, brace for impact, brace, brace, brace :-)
Should I get one because I’m new driver my dad say that when ever I get my driver license I can get any car what I want I’m also not that rich but I have the money to get cars like that under 30k so ya I’m looking for something I can do vip cars because I’m into that
I really wanted an Alpina or AMG, I ended up with a 2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged tuned to 500whp. The B7 is smoother no doubt, but the Jaguar will outrun it, as it weighs 4 to 500lbs less.
Hello, I'm in the market for a 2014 B7 or Panamera GTS in about 6 months. I want a true daily driver to commute 70 highway mikes a day. I'm concerned about the soft suspension of the Alpina. So, does it handle well and firm on the highway and does it brake confidently or do you really feel the weight when you press on the brakes? I currently drive a 2015 550i and it handles very loose and mushy braking. What mpg are you getting out of it?
Hi, sorry for the super late reply. I don’t think I would classify the B7 as soft at all. In the soft mode it seems too heavy for suspension but I’m not sure if that’s because mine was lowered. But in any case in sport mode - no - it’s not too soft. Regarding handling it def holds the road and not a ton of body role. You are somehow definitely aware it’s not a 3 series but I suspect that has more to do with the super weighty steering.
I am planning on buying one of the 7series from 2009 but i am afraid that it’s going to be hard to maintain since they are usually regarded as money pits. Nonetheless, I am going keep it as weekend cruise drive and use other ride for daily traveling purposes.
Any german car is. They're expensive to buy and even more expensive to own. If you're handy and know what you're doing you'll be alright. I had an S4 that I wrecked and I rebuilt the whole front end. But I also know my way around cars.
Hey.. I've got a question concerning your Windows. I see that even the front side windows are tinted.. Did you do this afterwards with Screenfoli? Or is this from Factory / done by Alpina? And how much % is it?
As a fellow B7 owner, I would’ve highly recommended a 2013 and up for the LCI aesthetics and more importantly the ZF 8 speed
I just purchased a 2013 a few weeks ago. SUCH a beautiful vehicle.
Mid 2014 and up. For N63TU motor. The n63 was soooo problematic. N63TU was really an entirely different motor

I would. Was a great car in my experience!
