Cooley is simply the best car reviewer. It is a shame more folks don't watch these videos. Should easily eclipse those Parker, Shmee type car videos. Not to mention the motor trend (or even the other RoadShow) reviewers.
I think that almost everyone doesn't give the other hosts their due respect. They're not bad at all. But Cooley's journalism skills are just so spectacular that a long hiatus is extremely noticeable.
Not to be one of those people who comment before they watch the whole video, but shouldn't the video title read, "BMW Alpina B7 is AN insider's secret?" :)
I think both BMW and Alpina made a mistake. Alpina should have put that V12 in the B7, for smoothness and comfort while remaining powerful. BMW should have put S63 in their "M" car.
Alpina is a Manufacturer not a tuner. It's not owned by BMW as AMG is to MB. It's titled as an Alpina. Saying Alpina is just a tuner is a major injustice.
The difference between Alpina B7 and the 760 M is that Alpina is set to have as much performance and handling as the 760M while sacrificing no comfort and by that, it seems to be more true to what a top of the range 7 series BMW autobahn high-speed cruiser should be.
The M760i is not an out and out ///M Car... it one of BMW M-Performance models that fills the gap between sporty and the ///M range. If you want and ///M in this car you will need to wait till the new 8-Series comes along!!!
its a shame bean counters even took over ALPINA its like they dont even try anymore. 2005 alpina used to give u a complete different car, now its just a 7 series with a body kit? just by looking at the wheels you can tell they cut corners. Alpina used to make a hollow spoke and bring the valve stem to the center of the wheel for balance. thats when engineers ran the company. if you dont have to add a supercharger and the interior is hardly even different, why does it cost 30 grand more than a 7 series?
Cooley is the best but some of y’all don’t mind trashing the others when they’re doing great jobs as well. I wouldn’t mind seeing you in front of a car giving a review. I’m just sure you could do much better, right?
Can anyone think of a realistic reason BMW chose to have Apple CarPlay as a measly $300 option? Surely the base price is large enough to swallow that cost without notice to the consumer. It just seems so uncouth to charge for it.
John Castro I think the weight, handling and not being FULLY developed by m division. I also heard because of it being all wheel drive, but the new my is as well tho, maybe the new my still can driven like a rwd car
