- A popular Minecraft RUclipsr has died of cancer. Technoblade amassed a huge fan base online, with over 11 Million subscribers on RUclips who watched him play and purchased his merchandise. He told fans in August 2021 about his cancer diagnosis using his unique humor. Technoblade never told his audience his real name or showed his face. In a final video, titled “So Long Nerds,” a letter from Technoblade was read by his father. Technoblade was 23 years old.

He wasn’t calm though. His father literally said the only reason his final video wasn’t a video of him was because Techno was too afraid to film the video and ultimately passed away before he could do it when he finally mustered up the courage

I have only heard the phrase “Technoblade never dies” but I thought that was a popular phrase from a kids series. Now I have come to know that he was a famous Minecraft RUclipsr. Even though I am not a big fan of Minecraft and Minecraft RUclipsrs, I am sure he will never die in people’s hearts.
Oh he was unique. A very kind and funny soul according to people around him, with alot of dark humor. He frequently held charity streams and was infamous for how insanely good at minecraft he was. Which lead to his self imposed ironic/unironic catchphrase “Technoblade never dies”
No idea who this young man is, but always sad to hear when someone so young succumbs to cancer.

He was one of several elite competitive Minecraft players and generally considered to be one of the best in very competitive Minecraft "Player vs Player" events. He very recently exploded in popularity after joining a famous Minecraft group led by a player named Dream. As someone who watched his videos way before he joined Dream's group his death is very sad all round
His father did a great job at reading that letter. I don’t know how he kept it together like he did, but it was a special tribute to his son.

I feel for his father. My own family just lost my nephew, Jake, to cancer this past month. He was an Air Force crew chief, a bike shop mechanic, and loved to go MTB riding. He was 3 days away from his 29th birthday when he passed.
It's always hard losing a family member from experience. I hope Jake is happy up there.

It is surreal to see all these news outlets showing us Techno's picture when we think of his voice and his MC Skin. Even without seeing that we knew and were entertained by him. His mark on the Minecraft and RUclips community is profound and without words.
