'We're getting on to the LA portion of The Making of The Video- The One'... anyone else catch that? I do remember reading that Boy was actually meant to be The One, and this video she was shooting was based around The One. Apparently she changed her mind last-minute and decided to go with Boy. I guess it was an easy transition because those two songs are pretty similar in the fact that it's all about being infatuated with this elusive guy. But I really wish she had stuck with The One because that is one of my favourite Mariah songs period!
It was originally for The One. They had to shut down production for it because they didn't have a permit. So they ended up just nixing The One video and using some of the footage for it in Boy I Need You. That's why it doesn't really make sense.
