  • In this episode, we go over the set: Radiant Bastion from the game Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). This is farmable from The Reach, and I paired this with other reflection sets and skills. Some reflections are based on the damage we take, other reflections are automatic attacks when we take damage. If there is any other sets you would like me to check out, leave it down in the comments and I will be sure to do it for an upcoming video!

    harbinger requires you to block, and you can't block DoT damage. so both sets only work on direct damage.

    instead of a radiant, you can use a persistent yokeda, it works the same way as the harbinger, every 5 seconds. And you can take in an emergency, to return damage, every 5 seconds

      That would work better for PVE, the radiant would be best in PVP scenarios due to the higher amount of damage you can take in one shot. Good callout though, that could definitely be a fun build for a PVE tank that can deal damage while just tanking :)

      @@VENOMSURGE I've used both (on other builds) and I like Yokeda better because it hits all enemies in 10M radius and you heal for 100% of that damage. Just depends on if you're 1v1 or XvX more often. Or you could use BOTH 🤯

    Who remembers the days where everyone face rolled DK because one ability reflected ALL projectiles for 100% damage.
    We give ZOS crap but they have learned… a little. Lmao

    Harbringer in pvp is nice when you run it as a dmg dk, I play in 5 medium 1 hey 1 light. I'm actually super tanky due to having around 26k resistances and 6k wpn dmg and 14k base penatration you can just imagine how the dmg can rack up.
    With cp passive, armour skill, harbringer and boneshield, I deal anywere from 3k-15k a second.. just add flames of oblivion, wings reflect the occasional s&b ulti, plus 3 dots and a nasty whip and you got yourself a stinky dk xD.
    Its a strong set especially 1vX it's not crazy dmg it dose prock anywere from 2k-4k but when a player spams you with jabs or crushing shock you can just imagine the dmg they get returned back to them. It's perfect for a sqishy high dmg playstyle but the more tanky you are the less effective this set becomes thats only downside.

    You might want to mix in Leeching with Harbinger. Leeching alone will let you survive a ton of mobs.

    I've used this combination before it sucked for PVP. I did use it on solo normal black rose prison which was fun.

      I think radiant will still work well in PVP, although the harbinger is a bit tricky since it is based on when you block. If you take a large amount of hits in a short time, you stamina pool is going to be very quickly emptied if you try to perma-block. With some tweaking, I think this could be a viable troll tank :)

    I wonder if switching to more of a dps skillbar, while maintaining the defensive sets/cp would let u make more of a brawler. Might have to mess with this :)

  • @APolishedTurd
    @APolishedTurd 2 года назад

    I have a warden build I want to try this on in CP pvp.
    Leeching vines-cutting defense champion point combo is already hilarious enough.
    Now let’s add more reflect and subsequently even more healing both when you deal damage to me AND when I reflect it.

      it sucks, please dont waste your time, use harbinger set from imperial city instead

    • @VENOMSURGE
      @VENOMSURGE  2 года назад

      After finishing this build, I talked more with some other people and there's a difficult balance with this build. In theory, the more armor and mitigation you build up the less you will reflect. Since you won't be taking the entire hit, you'll be reflecting the portion of the damage you didn't mitigate. So if you make the build squishy-er, or lower block mitigation, I think you'd reflect more...but you'd be easier to kill.

  • @runkorko
    @runkorko 2 года назад +1

    blocking make 10% reflect dmg useless, because while blocking you tanke almost no dmg. So imo better replace harbinger with Castle Thorn heavy set. Under 30% hp do X dmg to attacker / based of your health/ and heal for dmg done /3 sec cd/

    • @VENOMSURGE
      @VENOMSURGE  2 года назад +1

      That was the one issue I ran into when making this build. Blocking would help your survivability but also nerf your reflection. Same with your mitigation passives/skills/resists. Very difficult set to use for my armor set showcase series. I feel like there may be something that can really utilize the set, but it's a very thin line between surviving the hits and reflecting the dmg you take.

    I like this. However dont you think snb ultimate would be better than the leap?

    • @VENOMSURGE
      @VENOMSURGE  2 года назад

      It's really all up to what you prefer. The snb uiti is very good and would definitely help out in combat, however I felt the leap was better in this setup due to the skills that requires the enemy to be within melee range. If the enemy were to have ran away, or if you are going to meet the enemy, you could use the leap for the gap-close aspect. The shield from the leap would be in half in PVP, but it would still cover about 25k health while stunning and knocking back your enemies. One of the things I love about ESO is the ability to change up a build depending on your playstyle :)

    Since your damage hitd really bad why not build into dots i use a templar build only into health then support my damage with dots and my reflect sheilds, i also use the spear shard mainly for bosses and tanks , your rotation will be mainly your shield uptime next to that your dots and weaving your javaline and spear shard to burst, really nasty in pvp great in pvp.
    I actually got this idra off a anime called bofuri i figured making a dot thorn build made alot of sense.

    if you block then radiant bastion isn't working fully. try the numbers without blocking.

    • @littleadventures1108
      @littleadventures1108 2 года назад

      I was wondering same thing, dont block and dont slot the direct damage reduction cp to maximize the radiant return to the attacker. Seems like to get the most of the radiant you actually don't want to pair with harbinger which relies in blocking to return damage.

    • @gamevids7814
      @gamevids7814 2 года назад

      @@littleadventures1108 yes it's counter productive to have a block return damage set . I was having the very same idea a while ago. I believe in Mahakat patch. if I block the damage returned by radiant bastion was so minimal that it was not worth of wearing even. I ended up wearing crimson and radiant and that worked quite well.

    • @VENOMSURGE
      @VENOMSURGE  2 года назад

      That's a good point. assuming the same principal applies, having higher resists would also be lessening the amount of damage I take, therefore lessening the damage radiant reflects. Although there does need to be a balance as far as actual survival and how much radiant does. Maybe if I use the gaze of sithis mythic, I'd still be able to use harbinger through blocking but the blocking mitigation would be 0 so radiant should proc with harder hits :)

    • @gamevids7814
      @gamevids7814 2 года назад

      @@VENOMSURGE i would take frozen watcher as a fit to harbinger both deal damage back while blocking and maybe stonekeeper as monster to return resources. big pieces reinforced small sturdy. jewellery healthy and lesser block cost. block migration is the most important to such build. I know the build was about radiant bastion but I just had to get it out 😉 I forgot gaze of sithis is not a good option since it's a pvp tank and as such you should get the attention on you and block the damage. not blocking for long will kill you just slightly slower than a average damage dealer.

      I thought about doing that originally since they have the sun shield. It would work very well, but I wanted to see how it would go on a DK since they have the dragon fire scale and the volatile armor. Although the damage was not as much as I was hoping for

      I am still working on leveling characters to do this on the real server. I have just finished leveling a warden and am working on a build right now that is working very effectively. My hope is to get these PVP builds on the real server so you guys can see some actual use of the characters. It will take time though, I mainly played on xbox for the past couple of years so I don't have many CP characters yet
