Thanks Jordan. Mine only had two screws but they were installed such that one blocked access to the screw in the aluminum plate. When I reinstalled the gear, I installed the screws in the other two holes.
Bowser, do you ever lubricate the bearings and if so with what? Also, I see u are not using any Loctite during reassembly, reason? Thanks for all your help and a fine tutorial!
I haven’t done so yet, but I believe the only time I would apply lubrication is if it has been in a crash and has mud or something similar that is causing it to not rotate correctly.
Are you looking to convert your 2-blade helicopter head to a 4-blade head because the 4-blade head has been discontinued? Additionally, you will need to find the swashplate that is compatible with the 4-blade head.
I apologize for not covering the drive unit in the video and for missing those extra screws. I will review and potentially create a new video to address this issue.
First. Thank you for the info. I have the same Huey . Something weird happened. I've flown it a few times since I got it new. Today I lifted off and hovered for a few seconds. When I moved the stick to do a 180 turn , it started spinning out of control and I couldn't stop it. I did a bench test and when I barely move the stick the tail motor is going to like max speed and won't slow till I move the stick a few times back and forth . Plus the tail motor is spitting and sputtering with power kinda like a car engine mis firing. But the main rotor is functioning fine. Do you think the tail motor went bad? Someone said it wouldn't be the esc cause the main rotor is working fine. What do you think. I really appreciate any advice.
When your helicopter was spinning around uncontrollably, did you hear the high-pitched noise of a motor revving up? If so then your tail motor is bad. I have a video of my Huey tail motor going bad. The first thing get a new tail motor and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then it must be the ESC or Flight controller went bad. Let me know if the new tail motor fixes your problem.
Yes it is reving up to max . And the mtor sounds odd. The main rotor motor is functioning fine though. I ordered a new tail motor. I'll see if that fixes it . Then if not I'll try the esc . Thank you for the info
My new tail motor came in. I put the new motor and it's still doing the same thing. I had it on gps mode . I moved the left stick to the left and the tail motor reved up so fast it pulled it out of my clamp. and its like sputtering in and out with power. Then when I move the stick left or right the motor stops all together. It's like it's not responding to the stick movements properly. In and out kind of.
I have the flywing 450 Huey. It's still new and not been crashed or anything but it all the sudden started shaking violently when spooling down at the low end rpm when shutting down . I've replaced the blades with new balanced ones . The shafts and swash are good. Any ideas on what's causing that? I'd be grateful with any ideas.
Check your housing where all your components are connected to the fuselage. if that is loose that will cause it to vibrate. Let me know if that fixes it.
And thank you for taking the time to respond to my question? I was surprised to see how many RC techs on u tube have vids and constantly ask to hit the like button , subscribe and comment but never respond to any type of question. Lol.
It's crazy this thing. Now my gos don't want to go green lock. It just blinks for ever. I've tried restarting it like the sure suggested. It takes like 15 minutes sometimes to lock green. And I'm not skilled enough to go in the computer to fix stuff. Ive had so many problems with this thing and it's supposed to be brand new . I ordered it new.
@@dradden1556 you could have a bad GPS unit that’s why it’s blinking and not able to lock on to a GPS signal. When you plug your helicopter into the computer, do you get any errors when you’re in the software like recalibrating compass or GPS errors?

You’re welcome. I’m glad that my video helped you out. Also it was a good thing to add those two extra screws because it you could’ve had a failure.
Thank you for your work. It's a great teaching video. This will help many people.
Thank you! I’m glad I could help out Flywing!
Thanx a lot! Highly appreciated...
Most welcome!
Thanks Jordan.
My pleasure!

DYK if FLYWING makes a 2 blade head to upgrade the BELL 206 from a 4 blade head to a two blade head? Can u send me a link?
Thanks, Jeff

How did you get the drive unit out of the helicopter? The bottom plate with the unit is screwed on a wooden plate. Most screws are not accessible 😢

Do you have to remove the drive motor? So the gears don't bind when removing the gear plates
You don’t have to remove the drive motor.
Ok thanks 👍

Now I have an extra silver ball and I don't know where it goes. 😰
Can you attach a photo so I can see what it looks like just can’t remember what it is.
@@pilotbowser9980 how do I do that?
Can you please send me a link to the product so that I can see what it looks like?
