  • Our 2020 Coachmen Apex Ultra-Lite 215RBK travel trailer did not come with a propane quick-connect port. These are primarily used for outdoor cooking with a propane grill. I added one to our camper and a few folks in the RV groups asked how I did it, I hope this helps!
Our camper only needed an 8ft hose, but yours will likely need a slightly different length, so measure before you order! Here are the parts that I used.
    8' Propane Hose assembly- amzn.to/3fAVSqE
    3/8" to 1/4" union- amzn.to/3ykgmdH
    Propane quick connect- amzn.to/3SyDwFr
cable clamp- amzn.to/3rAiXww (can likely get a 5pack locally)
zip ties- amzn.to/3CeZk1Z (I used the 11" version from Harbor Freight)
yellow pipe thread tape -amzn.to/3T1HG8w (yellow is rated for gases)
For hardware, I used a #10 self-tapping metal roofing screw since I had them handy, but any self-tapping screw would work, or use a #10 or 1/4" bolt. Get these from your local hardware store since you'll only need one, not a bulk quantity. amzn.to/3Elrlr5
You'll also need a drill and drill bits, I have a Bauer drill and Hercules drill bits from Harbor Freight, but whatever you have will do. I've learned to get good bits though, they'll work a lot faster than the junk ones. Hercules bits are a good tradeoff for me, but there are better options for sure.
Bonus! If you happen to have a 17" Blackstone, this is quick-connect hose we use. amzn.to/3UZXsCR

Wish I watched this first. Then ordered off of your links. I ordered what I thought was everything then realized the flare vs mpt issue . 3 trips to hardware store and I got it together. Then I didn't have any pressure and the grill wouldn't work so I think it's either my regulator or there's debris in the line somewhere so I'm going to have to take it all apart. Great video

Did you add Teflon tape to any of the supply line ends, 3/8 to 1/4 reducer area, when connecting that new line? I’m in the process to add this same set up soon and was curious to know if that’s needed when doing so? Thanks for sharing the video. Much appreciated!
