I know we are suppose to travel with the propane off. Right? Turning the propane off is on my to do list after unpacking. Your valve is mounted right by the tire. A flat could possibly break your valve off. Propane on a hot brake rotor could go boom. Umm I see your blackstone has a LONG extension why not just install the fittings, you have already, to the propane regulator that you mentioned you already have as well. Same-same and no boob. Easy job for you but most of the people reading. This are new to the RV game as well and we should be giving out quality advice.
Do you have a link of the parts that you bought? I have a 17” Blackstone as well , I have a connection under my trailer but not a junction like yours, it’s just a plug that unscrews so that you can put your tee or any other direct connector to the quick disconnect .. thanks great video 👍
Your quick-connect valve is in the ON position! The ON position is pointed straight-through to lock the quick-connect hose in place. When NO hose is connected the valve lever should be perpendicular NOT parallel.

On my 2020 Stryker 3116 the propane block is on the opposite side (drivers side). Unfortunately there is no line that runs downs the back of the driver side and across to the passenger side for me to do this. So I'm guessing my only option is to see if Propane Gear can make me a hose to length?
I'm looking to do this on our motorhome. My distribution manifold looks very similar to yours, except all 3 ports on mine are being used (fridge, furnace, stove). I'm going to have to use a tee fitting. I'd like to run a short pigtail hose from the Tee over to a quick connect mounted/clamped just under the side wall. Most newer RVs already have this. Did you have much difficulty getting that plug out of yours? From what I can tell, it looks like orange Permatex threadlocker was used on the fittings on mine - which is supposed to be removeable. I've read on forums where people struggle getting those loose - claiming Loctite Red was used! But mine looks clearly orange NOT red - so they should come loose with some effort. Just curious how tight yours was threaded... THANKS!!
@@LifeWithKernelLee It's the orange stuff (Permatex Threadlocker Orange) seen around the threads at 3:38 in your video. From my research, it prevents loosening from vibration, and it's supposed to be "tool removable" (no heat). You didn't show any "wrenching", so I was wondering if you used an adjustable wrench, open end wrench, channel locks, vice-grips - or whatever? From reading forums, seems like many others are having the same problem - even thinking it's Red Loctite - which it ISN"T. I've tried an adjustable wrench, but that sucker is REALLY TIGHT! I'm afraid of rounding the nut...
@@LifeWithKernelLee I finally got it loose - used a 9/16" open-end wrench and some gentle love taps with a hammer. I read on a forum where people were cussing the RV industry for using RED (permanent) Loctite, which requires 500 degrees F to release. This orange stuff IS NOT Loctite RED, but rather Permatex Orange, which holds better than Loctite Blue - but is still tool-removeable without heat. It's used in high vibration environments (an RV) to keep critical fittings from loosening - i.e. propane. You know what they say... learn ONE THING new every day!! Seriously... THANK YOU for your video - AND your response!

So I'm trying to figure out how to run a hose to the frame/edge but I'm kind of struggling to figure out how to mount the quick connect if I do that. Maybe I'll just have to lie on the ground and run the cable to the junction where it's at...

That propane line is already there from the manufacturers. I just plugged in a quick connect.

Mine was pretty easy I dont think it had locktite on it.
