My husband said he felt like this tonight so of course went on your channel and saw you had posted this video 6 hours ago. We made it, it came out creamy with no lumps. Thanks so much!!!!

That's how I was taught. To add water to the cornmeal before adding to your preferred liquid. Always comes out smooth. Though, the bay leaf has not been something Virgin Islanders add to their porridge, as far as I'm aware. You're the first I see to do that. Cool 😎

I love cornmeal porridge 😋 I don't use water at all, I use whole milk instead of water and I use condense milk to sweeten it with all those same spices it's delicious.

I use the very fine cornmeal when I make cornmeal porridge, I find it's less cooking time. I brought back cinnamon leaves and other bits from Jamaica after being there for 3 months and I'm definitely going to put them to good use...thank you Terri-Ann 😊

Hello Terri-Anne, this is so funny, just yesterday, I was in Dialysis, when one of my Nurses was talking pumpkin soup, and fish soup, when she started talking about making and eating porridge 🥣, I couldn't understand her, I was thinking about polenta, or grits, now the very next day, you are making porridge, I can't wait to show.her your delicious recipe! Are you using regular cornmeal?
