    A fairly simple concept that I have tried to explain to my kids to no avail. Your 4 min video clicked the light bulb for them. Thanks so much for all you guys do!

    I was waiting to see the apparent wind on the kite going downwind. My guess it would have been higher still.

      (To any confused readers): This would be if broad-reaching downwind. The downwind test done by the dinghy was 'running' where apparent wind is minimal

      I think it was Buddy Melges who said ice boats are the Phd in apparent wind.
