I’ve watched a million videos about winging. I should’ve watch this one first. Great job

Agreed! It's the only one I've found so far, even including ones titled things like "Winging upwind", that actually explained the $@%# methodology! I knew I couldn't go directly upwind, but I didn't realize how wide you really need to go. I knew leaning the wing forward/aft would spin the nose around, but I wasn't quite sure when or how much to do that.

This is the best, most informative video I have watched to help me learn and understand how to operate a wing in the wind for wind surfing, or winging on a water foil. THANK YOU! How this video does not have at least 200K views I don't understand.

As a newb this was VERY helpful. The wing is like a canoe paddle.. Drag it to turn.

So as a beginner, what would be recommended wind directions in position with the beach? Crosswind?.

I am totally new to winging and I recently added as Slingshot Sup Winder Keel to my iSup [Body Glove Tandem]j. I am not sure that this video takes this into consideration, but would you say that the keel also serves as a pivot point for turning? Would it be ideal to position the keel between my legs when pushing a turn, or should I move forward or aft of the keel for more turning leverage? This is a 15' board that I am experimenting with, and learning from.

Does the front foot rear foot advice works also if you have both rear and middle fins on your sup?

An arrow with the direction of the board at each instant, depending on your feet and wing position, would be great.

You’re getting up with the back leg first. Big mistake 🥵
