    I like that you did it on a rusty car and not a pristine never rained on car. This is what people really run into. Thanks for showing us what to do when things are stuck.

      Yeah man for sure 👍 I hate when repair videos are on some pristine car that has never seen rust. We need real world cars.

    Since you were replacing the tie rod end, would've it been easier to remove the inner tie rod to remove the cam bolt?

    Does the orientation of the bushing matter?

    Nice work! While the control arms were off you cleaned and coated/painted them obviously? Curious what you recommend, I'm in MI so similar to your snow/salt conditions. Planning to clean (and coat?) and fluid film components as I go and wondering what you use? Thanks!

    • @Tech-28

      Yeah i just got all of the rust off of it and hit it with some paint and then coated all of the metal surfaces with honey goo by kleen flo. fluid film works good too. you know just as well as we do that something on it is better than letting the rust destroy everything! best of luck to you if you decide to change your bushings! :)

    How many tons is that hydraulic press? And how wide is it to clear the arms?

    • @Tech-28
      @Tech-28  Месяц назад +1

      55 ton and the arms are approximately 6” apart

    How much did you save by replacing just the bushings rather than the whole control arm?

    • @Tech-28
      @Tech-28  Год назад +1

      If I remember correctly, the Toyota control arms were something like 900$ cad each side

    You should never use non oem ball joints on a first gen.
