My name is Dayton and I'm an airsoft sniper from BC Canada. Ever since I started airsoft I've been addicted to the long range game. that's why I play as a sniper. I have some knowledge of CQB and urban play but if you see me out in the field, chances are I'm out there with my Tokyo Marui VSR10 and MK23.

U need a stronger motor
Ok I think you and flitetest would be able to do some crazy airsoft drones. Also I'd make it out of foam like what you'd find in nerf darts or house insulated foam board. It won't hurt as bad when you hit someone with it by accident or on purpose. Also I'd give it some landing gear. Like a wire bent so when it crashes you'll just slide

I have a idea! Maybe do a collaboration with “Flite Test” they are literal gods at making flying stuff
You should use a drone base and make a lightweight body to look like a mini chopper

My grandfather and I share a hobby for making remote controlled aircraft from scratch and flying them around, so its awesome to see somebody new pick up the hobby!
That sounds awesome! Do u guys build balsa planes or foam planes? There are a lot companies that produce balsa kits like dumas
@@garrom5652 We build mostly out of foam boards we buy at a hobby shop, though recently my grandfather got a 3d printer and has started building some planes with that too!
My grandfather has been building and flying for over six years now, I've only recently joined him this past year when he moved closer to where I live, but I've caught on really fast. My favorite plane we've built together so far is a model SU-37 that I painted a red and grey "volcano" camo as I call it

You need variable servo action to change your sensitivity of turning, but you can also try different styles of wing and fin. For example, tapering your fin toward the end makes the force less, but because you trimmed farther from the center of rotation, you removed more force than if you trimmed nearer.
For the way it tends to turn, you may need to balance the resistance from the rotation of the motor. You can set one aileron to be slightly off to provide counter rotation. Also dont forget to build it with carrying weight for the payload, because it will make a difference, both carrying it and once fired off, as the weight changes.
The plane will naturally want to yaw to the left as the angle of attack increases. This is because the prop’s center of rotation will be off-center and will cause more thrust to be generated on the right as the prop descends than the left; this is called p-factor which ur referring to I think. To counteract this, u can angle the motor mount down and the right and trim your rudder with a bit of right yaw.

You used heavy low power rc car parts in this plane which is why it didn't take air well. Also if you added angle up to the wings (not 180 degrees) it wouldn't go left right a lot. Use drone parts for an esc and motor and make better geometry and it will work flawlessly. Btw love your vids.
you’d want to add angle between the tips of each side of your wing as this will assist in roll stability, also, decreasing the area for your rudder and elevator control surfaces may diminish the amount of unnecessary yaw and pitch. Also, since his wing has a relatively large wing density, this would decrease his stalling speed which would put the plane at risk of stalling at lower speeds so a clark y airfoil with a more shallow density would be best. And yes, brushed motors are the best and u can calculate which motor and prop would be best by considering the wing loading of the plane

First of all I send you a hug about airsoft in Canada. Can't wait for clandestine footage from "somewhere in the US" next. This video was funny as hell XD if I may make a few suggestions: landing gear. Plz. Next: the long flaps on the wings are to prevent stalling. The tail is for turning and rolling the plane. Also a set of more powerful batteries is a good idea but I think the motor that you have and a propeller of the same size should be enough. Good luck 💜
If you use a wing where the tips are higher than the centre, almost like a v, then you get a much more stabilized flight. It's quite common on trainer planes as it will make it self-correct itself. It won't be as "agile", but you don't need it to be agile in this case. And you should check the balance of the plane, hold the wing by it's thickest part and make sure it's levelled.
What you’re referring to is dihedral, I think, which assists in roll stability. Also, ensure the plane is balanced, u should make sure the center of gravity is at least 1/3 down the leading edge, it’s also better to have a forward heavy plane than a tail heavy plane since it’s easier to stall with more weight aft

@Flitetest has a blueprint for you to build an actually functioning bomber that is collapsible. You can also buy the whole kit from them as well so you don’t have to worry about screwing it up lol. 😂😂
if you’re going to build an electronic A10 then you need to get an induction motor don’t use prop motors it doesn’t have the same physics 😂
for a first build this ain’t bad! Some of your control sensitivity isn’t necessarily from the design of the plane, but from the settings on your radio controller which is easy enough to learn how to program.
But yea I’d you’re gonna continue to get into RC planes make sure you check out Flitetest as they make learning all of the necessary steps super easy.

Hey house you should check out flitetest there a model plane company that do make youtube under that name but I'm not suggesting them because of that. they show how most model plane are built as well as give information about the names and need of certain plane parts. That’s not all they do but I don’t want it to seem like I’m promoting them or something in your chat I just wanted to give you the name of the channel so you can go and research some stuff. It’s where I learned a lot of the knowledge I have about model planes, so I figured no harm in suggesting it to you. by the way I just wanted you to know thanks to your videos on airsoft and the camaraderie within it’s community, I’ve given local game fields a try and I’ve got to say it’s been a blast everyone has been very nice and a lot of them have even helped me with picking out what gear would work best for me which I appreciate so thank you for make the videos that lead me to this awesome sport your the best 👍🏻👍🏻
Little improvement: The front of the main, big wings should be angled more at the bottom, not angled on both the bottom and top. It only flew when you angled the whole plane up.

Try using some sort of plastic pipe for the body, might make it a bit more aerodynamic, or just 3d print it

pusher prop config helps a lot, you can belly slide and not break your motor/mount/prop, and try giving your wings some dihedral (V shape) for self balancing!
also flying directly at yourself is the hardest to control!
Yes! I would recommend a twin boom mounted on the underside of your wing as this does help with stability

hey Dayton, i got some RC planes that I'm selling and one of them is easy to control and slow where u can do some reconnaissance. Probably your not gonna be to interested because building a plane is more fun then buying one. Love the vids and I believe Bubbles can eventually work the future

The A-10 can not fire its guns for too long. If it does, the recoil will kill its lift and thrust causing it to fall out of the sky. So, as of now, the only recoil this has to deal with the is the recoil of existence, and like alot of us... its finding troubles flying.
