Tq so much alicia to introduce lets play piano method channel... because i’m learning suzuki piano book and lets play piani method channel is a saviour
I agree, I was surprised she didn't mention his youtube channel: just type in Josh Wright, and learn anything you yearn for in classical piano, and just good source of information.
Each time I hear people say Paradise your fingers are amazingly fast, I'm very quick to inform them about pianoTV and other selfless teachers I've had over the years , you're an inspiration.
Thanks Allysia! Can’t wait to check those out! I am a big fan of Jane’s Piano Tutorials on RUclips, especially if you’re having trouble working out fingering. She has hundreds of great videos (tons of classical pieces). She plays extra slowly with metronome so you can see exactly what she’s doing and work out your trouble spots. She also takes requests and has a website/blog with all of her tutorials listed and linked in alphabetical order. Highly recommend. Oh and I am with all of you who have mentioned how great Josh Wright’s channel is!
Chanels i follow are: - "Josh Wright" (more advanced lessons) - LivingPianosVideos (really short and informative videos about all stuff around the instrument, music and performance) - The Art of Piano Technique (also like Josh Wright she makes lessons more for advanced and intermediate-advanced level) - Music Matters (all music theory) - Aimee Nolte Music (more so general and random with some blogs) - Paul Barton (to listen his really good performances) - and of course pianoTV. Of all them, the chanels i see the most are pianoTV and LivingPianoVideos
I don't really watch tutorials and how to videos, so I wouldn't really these channels but some channels I've come to watch are Paul Barton, Valentina Lisitsa, Tiffany Poon and of course PianoTV
I expected to know some of those channels, but I only knew HDpiano. Also I thought Josh Wright and LivingPianosVideos would be in the list :P Thank you for the recommendations!
I've also subscribed to Josh Wright and Living Pianos, as well as Piano Superhuman; Zach Evans knows his stuff! There's also Bach Scholar, which is not as intimidating as it sounds.
Glad you like Paul Barton also. I like the work he does for animals as well as his amazing piano playing. Even playing piano for them. The work in Thailand with the elephants is lovely to watch and a good artist too.
The one that holds a special place in my heart is Lypur. From his channel I learned the basics of piano and music theory. He's a great teacher, too bad he hasn't posted for a while..
Steven Masicotte is also a great piano channel, It's a canadian professional pianist who does live Q&A about piano problems, there are also many useful tutorials in his channel
Artists By Any Other Name he posts things that i don't see in any other channel (he's currently doing a detailed guide on how to study a fugue, for example) he has an amazing series on improvisation and so on, totally worth a subscription.
The university of Iowa [usa] piano pedagogy project should be acknowledged , the aim is to provide a database w quality control w regard to playing, for a large number of pedagogical works so teachers and students can reference most any of the common std teaching works. At its eventual conclusion it will host over 9000 recordings and will be open to ongoing growth additions and development of the database and content . A simple Google or RUclips topic search for the university of Iowa pedagogy project should take you to the right landing page for anyone interested , highly reccemmd this important resource. Would be too, for you to interview Alan on your channel someday
mangold is definitely my favorite in that list... I just miss Nahre Sol in that list, worth to check out her Practice Notes playlist... I like the channel 12tone too, music theory is the king
I don't know if you're looking for a challenge, but if you manage to create a simplified version of the third consolation by Listz it would be simply amazing
allysia please do a simplified version of revoultionary etude and when should i upgrade my 61 key keyboard to an 88 one ive been playing for 2 months btw i love your videos thanks!
PianoArtGamingEntertainment PAGE You should start playing on 88 key piano as soon as possible and it would be best for you if it was a real piano and not digital one
we try to save as much money as we can so i just buy keyboards because theyre cheaper my mom said shes giving an 88 key one in 2 years thanks for the advice though :)
PianoArtGamingEntertainment PAGE Ok, i understand. But i recommend you finding some upright/grand piano in your area, even if you'd play on it 2 times a month. Best wishes
I use OnlinePianist which is similar to HDPiano and they post the same song 2x - easy and normal. I also recommend pianoTV ;) to be added to your list.
even though I play pop and rock too, I only like piano channels that deal with classical music. Pop music can be great, but the way music it's taught in the pop world, is total junk. I hate stuff like 'How to play the piano by ear' and such trash. 'Methods' like these should be consigned to the flames. If reading music fluently is not involved, it's trash, especially for the piano. Another excellent piano channel is Practising The Piano by Graham Fitch. In my opinion, music can be really understood only through reading it (and playing it). No serious musician 'plays by ear' only, even though, in fact, he must do so all the time.
Hmm ... Danny Elfman can’t read music ... Hans Zimmer can’t read music . Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson ... Pretty sure those are serious musicians , so your argument is total nonsense
D'aww, we're flattered! Thanks!
Wow, thanks for the shoutout. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot. :)
Lets Play Piano Methods I love your channel and you have helped me so much since I'm just beginning to learn. Thank you!

I agree, I was surprised she didn't mention his youtube channel: just type in Josh Wright, and learn anything you yearn for in classical piano, and just good source of information.
