Moyun actually has a pinned message on her original video describing ordeal she had to go through to play it on Guzheng, long story short: difficulty is in difference in tunings since it's an old traditional instrument it's not tuned in modern 12-tone equal temperaments and it becomes difficult to play certain 5-note chords in tune while executing polyphony (i.e. not enough hands/fingers to artificially shorten strings by fixing it with one hand to create the right relative pitch, pluck it with the other, and stretch to cover multiple such notes of a chord), from her description it sounds like she ended up heavily modifying or rather having a new Guzheng built to play it: more elongated with modified groups of strings and their tensions to achieve tuning in modern 12-tone equal temperaments and of course learning to play it that way
Makes sense. just watching some of her other videos you can see a huge difference in her instrument here versus what she usually plays. Also speaking of covering this song on guitar. I don't know if you saw it but Polyphia had a fan cover contest a few months back and one of the submissions for which was also "Playing God" performed by Paolo Gans on youtube was absolutely insane.
Moyun is one of those musicians who has a musical skillset beyond most of us. She is an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to, i have nearly all of her musical scores. I especially love her Genshin Impact Cover

As a guitarist, the only thing I can say is I guess it's time to give up learning it from guitar. I've pretty much learned half of it already albeit it's sloppy😂 Time to switch to Guzheng😂😂😂

Guzheng is an old Chinese instrument. It has more than 2000 history. Another pice she did is also beautiful, HOTEL California.
I think Hotel california is the only song where every cover is better than the original.
