the time i got my switch was a bit before splatoon 3 was announced so i didn't get splatoon 2, splatoon 3 will be my first splatoon game (i know a lot about the first 2 games though)
i technically got splat 2 when it came out, but no switch online at the time. 2020 i got switch online but lost both splatfests i did (trick or treat and mush vs super star)
itll probably be Spatoon 3 disk, since in splatoon, every single song has a canonical band and members, who all have lore behind their personalities and such. In fact, the shop owner of the general items store is canonically an artist who has made music thats been in the game. so whatever we get, i want the love to be shared among all the splatoon artists, but i will admit deep cut is climbing up there as being one of my fav splatoon bands.
Good luck getting it outside of japan after Smash 4 nintendo has never released a full soundtrack outside of japan (at this rate i may end up importing the splatoon 2 ost just to listen to #8 regret on loop in a car)
Underrated comment. A seamless transition is a thing of beauty in and of itself, especially for a song you want to dance to. Just listened to a different extension and stopped listening the moment the audible hiccup interrupted the flow.
Dare I say it, BEST SPLATFEST THEME EVER! And that's saying something after Color Pulse back with Off the Hook's Reveal in that Splatoon 2 Direct. Crazy that this song is meant to be the equivalent of City of Color or Color Pulse. The vibes and rush of emotion I get is more akin to Ebb and Flow (a Splatfest BATTLE theme instead of a square theme) or Fly Octo Fly (A LITERAL FINAL BOSS THEME)
I really like Nintendo understood the chaos of the festivals and added it in the song. It legit feels like your on a parade waching afar with floaties and people dacing on beat, the mix of Traditional Japanese, Bollywood music (Some southeat asian rep!!) and samba with that hint of Brazilian on the side screams a colorful blast of culture and chaotic vibe. I love it so much :,)
