Incoherent Thoughts: Aprilia Tuono Factory 1 Year Later
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 янв 2023
- Saying I love this bike is an understatement. The way the Aprilia V4 motor seduces you into bad behavior is just plain wrong...for all the right reasons! My incoherent thoughts about this magnificent maniac machine 12 months and 9000 miles later.

The best bike ever invented, long live Aprilia v4's
I still feel honoured and humbled to own my '19 TV4F from 6 miles on the odo, only problem I had so far was a faulty throttle which was replace under warranty
Amen brother! Meeee tooooo!
One thing your not an Idiot!!! I forget stuff all the time. We can hear you. Love the way you talk about your bike. It's an amazing bike, looks and sounds amazing. If I get the chase I would love to own my own. One year into my riding and my SV650 has more then I can handle but I'm learning my machine and learning my line. Thanks for your videos💯🔥
Thanks a lot, bro! I appreciate it….I’m still learning as I stumble along lol. Hopefully we get a ride in this year
Never say never! your skill set has improved astronomically. Between your riding ability and you're videos! huge stuff been really enjoying these !
We are definitely getting one in this year Fedy!!!!
Nice bike I have the 2019 RR all stock 3rd gear wheelies 125 miles an hour
Hi,
I have a one here in Sweden and would love to get the Carlin Dunn sticker on my bike as well as a tribute. I used to follow his awesome ridding skills. How do I get in contact with his mother to get the sticker?
Regards
Felix
Her name is Romie Gallardo and you can message her on her instagram which is

Went from a Ninja 500 to my first Tuono, a 2006 twin as well. Dream is a modern V4 example. Working to achieve that dream 💪
Don’t rush….the twin has that extremely good Rotax motor that’s actually more fun to ride on the street imho. The V4 almost feels like too much!
Nice! Thanks for all the info. 👍Enjoying my 16 Factory.
Yes, it’s really a dream machine that the common person can enjoy!
Stunning bike dude. I've got a 2014 Tuono 1000. I had to send my ecu over to Gabro in Italy, the bike is a completely different animal with his tune.
Yeah its really amazing what he does with these Aprilias! I’ve told everyone
Fourth gear has just gone on my 2013 v4 tuono! Sourcing parts and labour to fix is a nightmare. Contemplating either 2018 tuono RR or BMW s1000r. Have you any advice as to which you would go for considering up keep and servicing. Thanks
My next bike, beautiful; what brand frame sliders do you have?
T-Rex
How much till now did it cost you from buying it from the garage to the all aftermark parts ? and what is your expirience with them what do you regret buying or not buying tips ?
I spent a bit on tuning mods and thats it. Probably $1000 or so on Gabros stuff for it. Another $1200 on major 12k mile service (again at 24k) and tires....it eats rear tires! All that power and torque! I have no regrets at all....evry time I ride this bike I feel maximum alive. My only tip is make sure you have a dealer near you for parts and service. If you don't have an authorized Aprilia tech within reach I would skip buying one.
Why have one of those palm throttle helpers (cruise control) when you have ACTUAL cruise control???
I have used one for so long it's just a habit now. I am accustomed to how it feels. Makes everyday use of the throttle easier... for me at least. Cruise is awesome but used more for long straights/ freeway riding.
Looks sick!
I am about to pull the trigger on a tuono factory this weekend. Can you give me a link for the bars??? Thanks!!!!
My suggestion is you run the stock bars, and just put some 20 mm risers underneath them. You don’t need any special modifications. The stock bars work much better than the aftermarket bars I have been trying. Coincidentally I just switched back to them just to see what they felt like and I think they’re pretty awesome. Thr Risers will make it just right comfort wise. I’ll have to look for the exact bars but they are made by Odi
@Antmanmoto good on you! Really appreciate it. Picking her up tomorrow if all goes well.
Curious but what was it about the aftermarket bars that you liked less than the stock? Was it that the width and sweep made it less natural to control the bike?
@Jrstrdr it was just the ergos for my body. I came from a ktm and wanted a traditional naked upright feel. I ended up getting the af1 risers. I wanted the full Monty risers but didn't want to have to spend more money on extended cables and such. I got the one that basically comes on the base tuono (from what I have heard - don't rely on this though). I couldn't be happier. You wouldn't think a half inch back would make a big difference in rider position but, man, does it ever! Love it!
@@stephenpatton8690 Thanks -- that helps!
Antman-I just bought a Tuona from Southwest Cycles…see if you can get a referral (I served in the Army with Dan who actually referred me…but ask anyway)
Hey I don’t get any kind of kickbacks from them… I just really like the owner and all the guys there. I’m just trying to help them in whatever little way I can. Congrats on the new bike I hope you enjoy the hell out of it this summer!
You got to be a hell of a rider, m8. Most of us are actually faster with restricted throttle mapping, cos you got to get the power to the tarmac. So either your tc got some tough time now, or you are a God on 2 wheels. 😁
It’s much more rideable now…improvements to power delivery and smoothness w Gabros tuning. You’d absolutely LOVE it!
Let me have this thing
This a 1100??
Yes, a V4 1100. 175 hp/89 lb ft of torque
wider bars are better IMO.
Higher and wider….sooooo much better!
@@Antmanmoto Handlebar manufacturer is ODI but what style?Need to change mine. Much appreciated!
How many per gallon ?
About 30 miles
