As a telugu speaking guy I love prabhas' comic timing. but I think when it was dubbed in hindi the comedy has been diluted. when i saw the movie in telugu i loved those comic sequences. most of the hindi audience may synchronize with the comedy because most of the jokes are related to telugu pop culture.
I can eco the same.. it's is made keeping telugu audience in mind and Prabhas is vgood in comic dialogues.. since its dubbed version u guys are feeling bit out of context
Hello Akash! Dont bother about the hate comments. As a Telugu speaker, Prabhas is very much respected in the south because of how humble he is. We love him and his comic timing here. Most of the dialogues are inside jokes and I totally understand your POV. It's also lost in dubbing
The sad thing is that Prabhas is not playing the role of Kalki in the Kalki cinematic universe, yet he agreed to work with Nag Ashwin. This decision reflects Prabhas's desire to explore new horizons in Indian cinema and to support emerging directors. Despite his efforts, these critics fail to appreciate Prabhas. He truly deserves recognition, especially for his exceptional performance in the climax.
I am sure Prabhas has been paid a major chunk of cake for his leap of faith onto the project.. The critics will only give an opinion on whether the story could promise what it wanted to tell!! Critics will also talk about acting and other technicalities.. Not how kind Prabhas was!

I grew up watching Hollywood sci fi movies since childhood. But I'll tell you Kalki is the first ever Indian SciFi movie I'm excited about, not just the movie but for the overall franchise. Surely there areas the director needs to improve but this is the start. The director put 5 years in to this movie and it's our responsibility to support movie makers that are sincere to their craft as there are almost none left in Bollywood now a days.
The thing is if someone really put 5 years worth of work in this movie then this movie is absolute trash. There are at least 1000 things (like scenes, objects, looks) that are straight up copied from somewhere excluding our literature coz that's the selling point. Even if it was mediocre and not copied I would have said ok sarkar we are progressing. But combining other sci fi with our literature seems like a disrespect to our literature.

Agree to disagree that Prabhas doesn't have comic timing. Before Baahubali, Prabhas did play fun characters with good comic timing. However, definitely agree that comedy in the first half and Disha's character were forced into the storyline. Could've used that time to establish characters better or build an emotional connect to bring in more impact in the later part of the movie

Clearly, the movie is shit. Just a cheap copy of Mad Max, Avatar, Dune etc. Whole movie feels like VFX that too a cheap knockoff, actions scenes are cringe max. Having Prabhas in any film significantly boosts its opening potential for directors. When someone invests 600 crore in a film, they must prioritize recouping that investment. They can't afford to make poor decisions. In the telugu film industry directors understand that economics and won't risk casting just anyone in high-budget films. Given an opportunity telugu directors would cast modiji, if they feel economics will work really well.. pehle paise kamao aur gyaan baad me dedo..
I guess that's all Prabhas has. A Very loyal but Small Fan Following that watches his movie on Day 1, sometimes Day 2 and 3 but when it comes to working days where Masses or Family audience comes in he fails. That's why his movies almost always fail to recover budget. Then you have Shah Rukh Khan who not just gets big openings but his movies keep momentum with masses too. Prabhas is an example of regional star with Loyal Fans. SRK is an example of World Wide Brand with Masses and Loyal Fans. And I am not sure if Prabhas can ever get masses or casual fans due to his limited skill as an actor and lack of charisma.
I think Setupati is better than Prabhash. Prabhash lacks the depth in his acting. May be he would be the weakest link in the movie, and reason for taking him could be some kind of favouritism or nepotism.

bro i did game development .. And i do know abt the vfx and graphical creation.. 650cr budeget and andulo actors remuneration, production, sets, cost antha atleast 200-300 undachu... Calling RRR is nothing before Kalki is disgraceful. Kalki's screenplay was bad and storytelling was not impactful. Nag Ashwin forced overly done Sci-fi elements which did not feel natural at all. RRR theatre experience was one of the greatest to me. I will forget that Kalki even exists after a month. Even after 2 years RRR is still in my heart.

But nag ashwin sir edi third film.. He is not having ssr kind of experience... Which can damage the end product of shot scenes ... As I belong to this sector I know how much clarity and perfect vision is needed.. It can't be done without experimenting or researching... And ssr's every film is a masterpiece for me too.. I have even watched them in slow mode to understand the layering and other artworks.... Kalki where the budget was 600cr..which is having more vfx and Graphics than the real content like infrastructure, background, or even actors movements... Every scene has vfx and rendering and many like this.. So it's having a high chance of getting ruined or damaged.. But for rrr some parat were sets and real people with just costumes.. So for a newbie it's worth praising and if ssr did rrr as his 3 film then it's greater than many Mr James Cameron or world's best... Many misrepresentations of Mahabharat like Ashwatthama was not at all a friend of Karna he always criticised Karna and Praised Arjuna even before Virat Yuddh and before the final Kurukshetra Battle he said you are only talk and You can’t even stand for a second before Arjun but in this movie they just followed the serial and Tv script rather than Actual Mahabharata by Ved Vyas
It is not true that Ashwathamma did not like Karna at all. He was an amsa of Shiva/Bhairava and was quite stoic for the most part. He had a grudge against Arjuna because his own father Drona, favoured Arjuna over everyone else and did not impart all the secrets of the astras to everyone like he did to Arjuna. Karna was a student of Parshurama, same as Drona, and Ashwathamma had respect for anyone that had the same guru as his father.
It’s a Telugu movie being dubbed in other languages , so his comedic timing is excellent for Telugu people , and cameos tooo we enjoyed a lot . Amitab sir is seen as such , we don’t feel as if overshadowed prabhas in south may be in north people seeing him in different role after long time gave u lots of joy .
I've watched most of the Hollywood sci-fi movies, but in comparison with Kalki, I would say Kalki worked great, yes 1st half feels a little boring because of story building, and the 2nd half was amazing. Movie worth watching. Just waiting for Kalki 2.

In Avenger Endgame, i have seen people with 2 legs, 2 hand, a nose with 2 eyes. In kalki exactly same kind of characters are present. I think this might have been copied from Endgame.
I'm a big Star wars fan, loved the whole mandalorian series, huge matrix fan, hated mad Max. So when I watched this movie with not much expectations, I was simply blown away. Forget about the vfx, the copy from other genres, like they say "it's the story, stupid!" This movie is epic and kudos to Nag Ashwin to dare to go into this genre combining sci Fi with our great Indian mythology. You're guaranteed for goosebumps if you understand and appreciate the larger than life Indian mythological characters. Star wars and matrix took inspirations from Mahabharata as well..the force that connects us all and that this world is nothing but illusion. Amazing movie, very proud of Tollywood entering into scifi genre with authentic touch! I hope this movie gets recognition world wide cause it deserves! All the very best to the success of this movie and very much looking fwd to part 2
Firstly, i don't think you could be talking about avatar and any indian film in same sentence because the budgets are humongous. I personally worked in indian and Hollywood vfx , so i can tell you there will be a night and day difference in every aspect. But with given budget , if they can achieve so much, its a miracle, we need to appreciate the work..Also this is a telugu movie, so we would enjoy the subtle humour because we have a background connection, can understand why others might not.

Honestly, I have watched a lot of sci-fi movies and series. In fact I only watch foreign movies if it's sci-fi. This was the best attempt made in Indian cinema history ever.👌 Apart from forced comedy the movie is worth watching and worth spending money, only if you appreciate sci-fi movies. Answer for dhisha patani... Role.. She gets work access to complex and she also lends units to bhairava.. Which is huge and he can't repay her any soon... She is the reason for more commitment to get into complex any how... And also he gets noticed by the system where he was scaned later and almost gets banished... Here bhairava gets motivation for to try more to get into complex... And also commender to believe in him for small part.... Bro again salaar in first half was fast and not slow... With back story.... Here story was given and puranas were indulged in some of shots making audience to expect any hindu elements to raise....
Honestly, the 1st half was too much slow and much time spend to established the character. Movie pace off from the interval. Prabhas doing comedy is difficult to digest. He should be shown as serious action hero. Director looks confused to make this movie as mythological movie, sci-fi movie, typical indian movie filled with masala. he should stick with sci-fi movie based on mythology. Hope the part 2 of this movie will be much better.
Amitabh Bachchan proves why he rules the movies: in a battle of competing screen presences, he just gives a left hook and upper cut every single shot. What a presence! Absolutely thrilled to watch him. And I chose to watch the movie in Hindi in order to hear Amitji’s classic voice properly. Excellent movie. The bad parts are way overshadowed by the good here. Did not realise three hours passing. Plus, for the next instalment, it is about time that these guys got a proper Hollywood actor in a main role and released an English dub in the US and other Anglo markets. About time the world knew about us.
What many dont understand is our Indian film industry is not Hollywood we dont have self sufficient production houses which can independently cough up crores of money on unknown actors directors like nag Ashwin csn only get bigger budget only when there is a star like prabhas in the film only then financers will fund distributors will pay bigger money to buy the rights disney or warner bros csn spend 100 million on a new actor bcz they own distribution infrastructure to cinema halls they can promtoe a film and release it in 5000 screens by themselves no indin producer can do that and hence they need a crowd puller a start like prabhas or khans infact we need to appreciate prabhs despite knowing that his role is not the central plot of the movie he still agreed to do the part not many stars in our industry do that the only reason this film got greenlit is only bcz of prabhas weather u like him in the movie or not
If there are 12 segments of 15 minutes each in this movie, consider wasted 1 segment for Disha & tacky jokes and another 1 segment of kiddy jokes & bad fights, there are 10 segments out of 12 segments is Very good for a cinephile. Even that irritating Disha segment has that beautiful Complex world.

This movie is everything from star wars dune marvel mad max but what makes it unique is the infusion of Mahabharat. That makes it unique. Some might get hurt because mahabharat is mentioned and someone might get triggered because of this. The infusion of mahabharat and vishnu avtar was cherries on top for this movie it is impressive.

Star wars has it's own identity although inspired from books because the creator did infuse his own world building and so it looks unique than dune but inspired from it. Here it is with minute difference taking reference from all those movies scenes. And what makes it unique in KALKI is KALKI itself and infusion is nicely done. And AVATAR is a simple revenge drama movie which is known for its world building.

☝🏻 MESSAGE OF KHALKI PROPHET Muhammad (PBUH) in Hindu scriptures Following are the Hindu scriptures where his name finds mention. According to Bhavishya Purana in the Prati Sarag Parv III Khand 3 Adhay 3 Shloka 5 to 8. “A malecha (belonging to a foreign country and speaking a foreign language) spiritual teacher will appear with his companions. His name will be Mohammad. Raja (Bhoj) after giving this Maha Dev Arab (of angelic disposition) a bath in the Panchgavya and the Ganga water (i.e. purifying him of all sins) offered him the present of his sincere devotion and showing him all reverence said, “I make obeisance to thee. O ye! The pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from the malecha opponents.” The main points mentioned in the Kuntap Suktas i.e. in Atharvaveda book 20 Hymn 127 verses 1-13 are: 1- Mantra1 He is Narashansah or the praised one (Muhammad). He is Kaurama: the prince of peace or the emigrant, who is safe, even amongst a host of 60,090 enemies. 2- Mantra2 He is a camel-riding Rishi, whose chariot touches the heaven. 3-Mantra3 He is Mamah Rishi who is given a hundred gold coins, ten chaplets (necklaces), three hundred good steeds and ten thousand cows A similar prophecy is also found in Rigveda Book I, Hymn 53 verse 9:The Sanskrit word used is Sushrama, which means praiseworthy or well praised which in Arabic means Muhammad (PBUH)) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is also prophesised in the Samveda Book II Hymn 6 verse 8: “Ahmed acquired from his Lord the knowledge of eternal law. I received light from him just as from the sun.” In Purana (a holy book of Hindus) it is stated that Kalki Avatar would be the last messenger (prophet) of God in this world for the Guidance of the whole world and all human beings. It is stated in Vedas that God would teach Kalki Avatar through His messenger (angel) in a cave. Allah taught Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), through His messenger Jibraeel (Gabriel) in a cave known as Ghaar-e-Hiraa. It may be countered that why Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could not be the first and only prophet to mankind? In fact in the world of matter evolution is inherent so is human civilisation. Human civilisation took long years to come to where we are presently placed.Today,human mind ,we see, has reached its pinnacle and Quran exhorts human mind more than any scriptures of the world as at several places it say “Don’t you think”, “don’t you ponder”. All the previous scriptures have not been preserved in their original form and written later on by people as human mind had not matured enough to think over preserving the wordings of the creator and Quran is the only book which is preserved in its only form and preserved during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). Moreover,Quran is called the miracle ,a book being called a miracle must push human mind to look towards it as this age is the age of intellect and science and technology is the yardstick where everything is measured. The time has come for all of us to seriously think and ponder over Quran, the final book bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) especially in the present scenario of the world when humanity is threatened and dissect its teachings to apply to solve the problem of humanity. The climax elevation changed the overall movie and forces you to start connecting the dots. Many sequences in the slow first half start making sense after the climax. I thought it was a well researched and thought of movie. There are unanswered questions, but that's what Part#2 should clear up.

Exactly, the same things I was very disappointed about. But it's good to see that the Indian movie industry is stepping foot in sifi movies. Either comedy should not have been there or Dulqeer Salman was needed in Bhairava's role. Also the triumphant music when Bhairava scored broke the rhythm for me. He is not in the good side yet. Only when he was Karn's senses was when that music suited.

I've not seen a review from critics who gave negative review just like you except some samosa critics. As you have compared with some Hollywood movies, they spend thousands of crores on VFX. A director, with an experience of 2 films, has made an honest attempt to create something which is like a torch bearer in Indian cinema. Par aapko kya, aapko to negativity failana hai.
You forgot Alita battle angel being an "inspiration" for this film. The whole floating city inhabiting the elite while the surface dwellers living in misery is the whole setup for this film.
I suggest the first time watchers to chill and dont get overwhelmed , watch the first half with patience and don't keep yourself reminding that it is slow nothing had happened it is slow ,bruh nothing had happened because there might something will be happening in the 2nd half so let that excitement out and concentrate on the movie so you will know the purposes for that slow build
After watching your Kalki 2898 AD review, it seems you are a Prabhas hater. He portrayed the comic role well, but sometimes the comic timing didn't work for non telugu audience was because of dubbing and jokes based on telugu pop culture. It seems you didn't know that Prabhas has portrayed a jolly character very well in his movies, like Bujjigadu, which even gets some references in Kalki 2898 AD. You seemed uninformed when you compared some character looks and some parts with other Hollywood movies. For example, when you compared Ashwatthama's look, you missed that his appearance was true to what is described in our Puranas. It is mentioned that his whole body would secrete pus, so he had to cover his entire body with bandages. The other things which you first stated as 'chori' were not plagiarism. That type of world was needed for a dystopian movie. The tree you compared to Eva from Avatar was actually inspired by the Ashvattha tree mentioned in many of our Puranas. It seems like you didn't do any research before making such a video. And Shambhala wasn't a copy of Zion from The Matrix, it's actually adapted from our Puranas, where it is mentioned that Kalki will be born in a city called Shambhala, which will be surrounded by mountains, as shown in the movie. Honestly, Prabhas's efforts are evident on screen in this movie, and it's actually because of him that such a movie was possible. The producer himself stated this. While I agree that a few masala moments in the first act of the movie could have been avoided, the reason for adding those moments was to appeal to a larger audience in mass markets. The director and the producers were very well aware of what they were doing. This part needs to do well to lay the path for the further installments in this universe. Anyway, I would just say that you should do some research before making such videos.
For me the budget of 600cr went on making such movies was clearly visible on the every frame of the movie, they have literally maintained the quality of visuals almost through the movie And the third act of Kalki 2898 AD was the peak Indian cinema

As a telugu speaking guy I love prabhas' comic timing. but I think when it was dubbed in hindi the comedy has been diluted. when i saw the movie in telugu i loved those comic sequences. most of the hindi audience may synchronize with the comedy because most of the jokes are related to telugu pop culture.

The sad thing is that Prabhas is not playing the role of Kalki in the Kalki cinematic universe, yet he agreed to work with Nag Ashwin. This decision reflects Prabhas's desire to explore new horizons in Indian cinema and to support emerging directors.
Despite his efforts, these critics fail to appreciate Prabhas. He truly deserves recognition, especially for his exceptional performance in the climax.

I grew up watching Hollywood sci fi movies since childhood. But I'll tell you Kalki is the first ever Indian SciFi movie I'm excited about, not just the movie but for the overall franchise. Surely there areas the director needs to improve but this is the start. The director put 5 years in to this movie and it's our responsibility to support movie makers that are sincere to their craft as there are almost none left in Bollywood now a days.
The thing is if someone really put 5 years worth of work in this movie then this movie is absolute trash. There are at least 1000 things (like scenes, objects, looks) that are straight up copied from somewhere excluding our literature coz that's the selling point. Even if it was mediocre and not copied I would have said ok sarkar we are progressing. But combining other sci fi with our literature seems like a disrespect to our literature.

Agree to disagree that Prabhas doesn't have comic timing. Before Baahubali, Prabhas did play fun characters with good comic timing. However, definitely agree that comedy in the first half and Disha's character were forced into the storyline. Could've used that time to establish characters better or build an emotional connect to bring in more impact in the later part of the movie

It is not true that Ashwathamma did not like Karna at all. He was an amsa of Shiva/Bhairava and was quite stoic for the most part. He had a grudge against Arjuna because his own father Drona, favoured Arjuna over everyone else and did not impart all the secrets of the astras to everyone like he did to Arjuna. Karna was a student of Parshurama, same as Drona, and Ashwathamma had respect for anyone that had the same guru as his father.

It’s a Telugu movie being dubbed in other languages , so his comedic timing is excellent for Telugu people , and cameos tooo we enjoyed a lot . Amitab sir is seen as such , we don’t feel as if overshadowed prabhas in south may be in north people seeing him in different role after long time gave u lots of joy .

I'm a big Star wars fan, loved the whole mandalorian series, huge matrix fan, hated mad Max. So when I watched this movie with not much expectations, I was simply blown away. Forget about the vfx, the copy from other genres, like they say "it's the story, stupid!" This movie is epic and kudos to Nag Ashwin to dare to go into this genre combining sci Fi with our great Indian mythology. You're guaranteed for goosebumps if you understand and appreciate the larger than life Indian mythological characters. Star wars and matrix took inspirations from Mahabharata as well..the force that connects us all and that this world is nothing but illusion. Amazing movie, very proud of Tollywood entering into scifi genre with authentic touch! I hope this movie gets recognition world wide cause it deserves! Firstly, i don't think you could be talking about avatar and any indian film in same sentence because the budgets are humongous. I personally worked in indian and Hollywood vfx , so i can tell you there will be a night and day difference in every aspect. But with given budget , if they can achieve so much, its a miracle, we need to appreciate the work..Also this is a telugu movie, so we would enjoy the subtle humour because we have a background connection, can understand why others might not.

This movie is everything from star wars dune marvel mad max but what makes it unique is the infusion of Mahabharat. That makes it unique. Some might get hurt because mahabharat is mentioned and someone might get triggered because of this. The infusion of mahabharat and vishnu avtar was cherries on top for this movie it is impressive.

Star wars has it's own identity although inspired from books because the creator did infuse his own world building and so it looks unique than dune but inspired from it. Here it is with minute difference taking reference from all those movies scenes. And what makes it unique in KALKI is KALKI itself and infusion is nicely done. And AVATAR is a simple revenge drama movie which is known for its world building.

PROPHET Muhammad (PBUH) in Hindu scriptures
Following are the Hindu scriptures where his name finds mention.
According to Bhavishya Purana in the Prati Sarag Parv III Khand 3 Adhay 3 Shloka 5 to 8.
“A malecha (belonging to a foreign country and speaking a foreign language) spiritual teacher will appear with his companions. His name will be Mohammad. Raja (Bhoj) after giving this Maha Dev Arab (of angelic disposition) a bath in the Panchgavya and the Ganga water (i.e. purifying him of all sins) offered him the present of his sincere devotion and showing him all reverence said, “I make obeisance to thee. O ye! The pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from the malecha opponents.”
The main points mentioned in the Kuntap Suktas i.e. in Atharvaveda book 20 Hymn 127 verses 1-13 are:
1- Mantra1
He is Narashansah or the praised one (Muhammad). He is Kaurama: the prince of peace or the emigrant, who is safe, even amongst a host of 60,090 enemies.
2- Mantra2
He is a camel-riding Rishi, whose chariot touches the heaven.
3-Mantra3
He is Mamah Rishi who is given a hundred gold coins, ten chaplets (necklaces), three hundred good steeds and ten thousand cows
A similar prophecy is also found in Rigveda Book I, Hymn 53 verse 9:The Sanskrit word used is Sushrama, which means praiseworthy or well praised which in Arabic means Muhammad (PBUH))

The climax elevation changed the overall movie and forces you to start connecting the dots. Many sequences in the slow first half start making sense after the climax. I thought it was a well researched and thought of movie. There are unanswered questions, but that's what Part#2 should clear up.

I've not seen a review from critics who gave negative review just like you except some samosa critics. As you have compared with some Hollywood movies, they spend thousands of crores on VFX. After watching your Kalki 2898 AD review, it seems you are a Prabhas hater. He portrayed the comic role well, but sometimes the comic timing didn't work for non telugu audience was because of dubbing and jokes based on telugu pop culture. It seems you didn't know that Prabhas has portrayed a jolly character very well in his movies, like Bujjigadu, which even gets some references in Kalki 2898 AD.
You seemed uninformed when you compared some character looks and some parts with other Hollywood movies. For example, when you compared Ashwatthama's look, you missed that his appearance was true to what is described in our Puranas. It is mentioned that his whole body would secrete pus, so he had to cover his entire body with bandages.
The other things which you first stated as 'chori' were not plagiarism. That type of world was needed for a dystopian movie. The tree you compared to Eva from Avatar was actually inspired by the Ashvattha tree mentioned in many of our Puranas. It seems like you didn't do any research before making such a video.
And Shambhala wasn't a copy of Zion from The Matrix, it's actually adapted from our Puranas, where it is mentioned that Kalki will be born in a city called Shambhala, which will be surrounded by mountains, as shown in the movie.
Honestly, Prabhas's efforts are evident on screen in this movie, and it's actually because of him that such a movie was possible. The producer himself stated this.
While I agree that a few masala moments in the first act of the movie could have been avoided, the reason for adding those moments was to appeal to a larger audience in mass markets. The director and the producers were very well aware of what they were doing. This part needs to do well to lay the path for the further installments in this universe.
Anyway, I would just say that you should do some research before making such videos.
