People don’t understand this. That those guys like Trout, Judge, Ohtani haven’t proven themselves in October. They may have better stats in the regular season, but when it counts, Yordan has proven himself.

No. He, like all the great hitters, loads and stays loaded as he moves that he can snap the barrel at any time. That is why the barrel blurs out behind him, not in front of him like most hitters.
In the postseason, Judge has a .211 BA with a .772 OPS in 44 games. Yordan has a .295 BA with a .949 OPS in 58 games. I'm taking Yordan all day, every day. Judge chokes when it matters.
And that's with a horrible rookie playoff run. In 2019, Astros fans were begging AJ Hinch to bench him for the first few series. Also, His 2022 playoff stats aren't very good, but he came up big when it mattered most.
Through out 1736 at bats which is Yordans years in mlb , remember judge is been longer than Yordan by 6 years in mlb : Yordan 441 hits 112 home runs 390 strikeouts Judge 391 hits , 111 homeruns , 548 strikeouts Not even counting the amount of times Yordan gets walked intentionally Judge is the best hitter in the game ??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Not only that but Judge faces off against garbage pitchin in AL East while Yordan has to deal with high tier pitching in the West like the Mariners Castilllo and Gill
I would take Yordan any day over Judge. Judge is a great regular season hitter, in the post season he turns to shit. Yordan is the definition of clutch.
Let’s talk about this a little. MLB needs to change the pitcher win/loss rules. Framber throws 7 no hit innings, Hader blows the save giving up a 2 run HR in the 9th, Meyers and Altuve do the job to bring us back to win and Hader gets the win! NO WAY! Do a video on that. Talk about that.
If you still value win loss to the point that it gets you upset you're putting too much emphasis on it. A lot of people say it doesn't matter at all and I disagree because there is something about simply outperforming the guy on the other mound but the fact of the matter is there's too much in the hands of others to put a ton of emphasis on it
He's hitting 3:35 with 51 home runs and there's still like 30 games left LOL get out of here with that nonsense. With the game on the line I'm taking Alvarez all day though
@@JoseTorres-cc1jo it's not short everywhere. And to be fair the Crawford boxes in Houston are only 315 ft away. Random popups turn into home runs at 315. LOL

@@cheyenne11114 think Cheyenne think!, we are talking this year…he only has 9 at home, and 21 at away. I’m an Astros fan don’t worry I’m not knocking him just stating the facts.
Ohtani hits more HRs but Yordan might be a slightly better hitter. And of course the media attention is on Shohei, not Yordan. Yordan can’t run like Shohei though. And neither can Judge.
You forget he played for the angels so he was easier to pitch around and had to force the issue and was pitching which makes him valuable and this year he steals more....yordan used to field as well...him as a dh makes him like big papi
I don’t hear this same argument when people talks about judge Go look at his stats he has never played 162 and has only gone over 150 twice Other than that only one season over 140 and the rest are less than 112
These DeRosa breakdowns are some of the best info a young hitter could watch
I was going to say. Teach a big athletic kid this and they will rake.
In a playoff game I’d take Alvarez over anyone else for one at bat with the game on the line.
That is why they said hofer already for a young player with playoff hits ala big papi....championship these two

Lets have this conversation after the playoffs when Judge goes 3 for 23 with 13 Ks against the Astros like he has every year.
You think he's going to get 20+ at-bats in just the four playoff games the Astros will let them play?
Judge, Yordan and Shohei. The best power hitters. Yordan doesn’t get much publicity like Judge and Shohei but I don’t think he cares one bit.
Ozuna too
Very true, even in Astros interviews after the game he is very mellow and chill.
He doesn’t say much. He doesn’t wear chains.
Yordan is so underrated somehow man, if he played for the yankees or the dodgers he would be in more mvp conversations

He needs at least 40 HR to be in MVP conversation as a DH....
Love Dero breakdowns, yordan is such a consistent and powerful hitter my favorite guy to watch hit in the bigs
The best things about his swing, and the reason he stays up the middle so much is because he keeps both hands on the stick

Yordan is a pride for Cubans, waiting to see him in the playoffs breaking the balls
Lets go Astros ! Love the breakdowns.
Imagine only having to trade Josh Fields for this guy.
Jeff Luhnow is a genius
The Dodgers have been an excellent farm system for the astros.
Mark is amazing at breaking down how to hit properly he was a really good hitter too when he was playing 👍🏽
Alveraz is yordaddy!!!!!
I’ve watched his at bats since 2019. Absolute freak show
Yordan low key is the 2nd best hitter since the start of 2022...and top 5 since 2019....
Great analysis. Appreciate these breakdowns, and the swinging artwork players like Yordan give us to appreciate!
As an Astros fan i would like to personally thank the Dodgers for being a great farm system for us....🎉

Love it! And why don’t they compare Judge post season to Alvarez post season stats, 😮 Alvarez wins!
Great breakdown
2:26, I know, I thought it was a lazy fly ball
The other two I knew were gone as soon as he hit it 😊
He has ice water running through his vains. Confidence at the plate makes for a relaxed, focused hitter. Knowing you can is half the battle.

Yordan is better than Aaron Judge
When the lights shine bright he certainly is better than judge but this is the regular season and this is regular season analysis.

Yordan will only get better with time too. Just like Judge has.
