I like how under almost every video connected to Ho-Oh and/or Lugia, people have to argue about which one of them is better. Like we couldn't just say that they're both badass.
OminousWind97 I will secretly tell you, that I've never got Lugia in my game and Ho-Oh is one of my main partners in HeartGold, so yes. For me, he is more graceful.
Attack : Ho-Oh-Espeon Defense : Lugia-Umbreon It's really how you play them they're all graceful Johto types. My Umbreon has a wicked combo using toxic wish and protect.
Ho-oh is inspired by the Hōō, the asian Phoenix. Lugia is inspired by Ryūjin, the water Dragon What i'm trying to say is if Ho-oh have a japanese styled theme, Lugia shouldn't had a theme too?
ThePersonaWeeb FINALLY someone gets the lore behind them. That’s honestly where the Gold and Silver came from as well what with Ginkakuji and Kinkakuji Temples.
@@MichaelNoMyers I agree with that, but apparently because he was a dragon they wanted him to be super powerful and at the time psychic was the most powerful type or something like that
ben yeah you’re right. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think dragon wasn’t as big as it is now either. In some games I don’t even think they had dragon type
@@ben-ph7fi But Water and Dragon only had one weakness at that time, there was no fairy to screw lugia over. Think of it like Kingdra. With the water typing making him not weak to ice lugia would have only had one weakness.
Except for in that weird short where they fought for like three seconds. But though they don't necessarily interact much, Ho-oh and Lugia are often surrounded by conflict and end up resolving it themselves, which to me establishes them as peacemakers.
Ho-oh being a Rainbow Pokemon is heavily reliant on the Sun for power. Lugia is the Pokemon that controls the Tides: much like the Moon. Gen 4 remakes were originally going to be called "Golden Sun" and "Silver Moon," but the former is a copyrighted game.
@@spindash64 i fucking hate that jolteon, that stupid double teaming piece of shit is the reason why i havent attempted a nuzlocke in heartgold or soulsilver, why is double team so good when someone else uses it?!
While this song is naturally Japanese in origin, most sources seem to indicate that Ho-Oh actually is based off of a Chinese bird deity (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenghuang). Ho-Oh's Japanese name is phonetically identical to their name for Fenghuang as well -- ホウオウ/鳳凰(ほうおう).
I'm really surprised this is getting the most views on my channel. It's pretty low compared to my newer stuff. I don't use plain old MIDI anymore. If you liked this, you'd love my newest stuff. Check out my channel!
I actually started crying softly... This brings back memories of 2010-2014 when I would play Pokémon Heart Gold non-stop, even clocking the in-game save file at over 980+ hours... ...Maybe I should trade all my most precious Pokémon over to Platinum when I can, and erase the file to start anew and relive those memories.
I actually have a much better version now, even more so than my updated one in the link. Utilizing the oriental percussion from the game itself. It's also cleaner and better mixed.
holy s**t i want that picture. my mom hates pokemon so i'd love showing her that pic and she'd be like "nice traditional japanese painting, shows its culture, etc." and then i'd say "it's pokemon" and she'd be like O.O
I hated, well, not hated, but didn't like this version so much (H/SS) but holy fuck, this whole scene was the best thing to come out of generation IV, Ho-oh is my fave legendary
@DaMagician91 Limited by weak MIDI soundfonts can do that. I have a better one using MIDI and it is a bit more powerful, and it also uses the HG/SS asian percussion soundfonts with creative's default midi soundfont (that came with my old audigy 2).
Johto is probably the most Japanese region.
agreed
The first four were all based off Japan, but Johto is blatantly screaming "HEY IT'S JAPAN GUIZ"
The music and mythology behind the ledgendaries resemble Japan's culture in johto, in my opinion.
Ecruteak City in Johto is Kyoto in real life. it's like the most historical place in Japan.

This is the only remake that isn't hard rock. It keeps the original feel to it
Its the original
@@fst5349 no it isn't, it just doesn't change much. The instruments used are of a much better quality.
It's much a less brash, bold and "sacred" variant. It's like one of those themes you'd misuse.

When the music goes silent and the Ho-Oh noise plays.
*Chills.*
I see Lugia and Ho-oh as more badass versions of Yin and Yang. Both keep the balance, and both are necessary for awesomeness to exist.
I see Groudon and Kyogre more like that, because nothing ever came bad from Lugia and Ho-oh, I mean, they never even fought.
Except for in that weird short where they fought for like three seconds. But though they don't necessarily interact much, Ho-oh and Lugia are often surrounded by conflict and end up resolving it themselves, which to me establishes them as peacemakers.
***** there where the fuck does Rayquaza sit.... hes part of the Trio too!.... I mean i'm part of the trio O.o
Reshiram and Zekrom more fully embody the yin-yang duality, I think.

I keep listening to this over and over again. This music makes Nintendo have some amazing music without a doubt
I liked ORAS more
The Ho-Oh cry at the end of the ritual theme gives me tear of nostalgia
All this is missing is the "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" sound effect.
I'm hoping Game Freak continues this trend into ORAS, giving Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, and each of the Regis its own theme or variation on a theme.
my friend..this is what im hoping too!
Groudon and Kyogre share their themes.
Rayquaza got a slightly altered one.

While I disagree with everything you just said, it is refreshing to see somebody saying it about games other than the first generation.

Sorry.
I just noticed the heart gold symbol looks like ho-ohs wings when raised! how the hell dident I see that sooner
And the soul silver logo kinda looks like Lugia's head!

Ho-oh 's Intro is amazing !!

The intro is the best
ho oh is one of my favourite pokemon
Great Darkness same
Me too but with the diference tath ho-oh is my favourite Pokémon

It sounds a bit like something from Mystery Dungeon. That's cool.

Everyone loves Ho-Oh
This song, everytime i listen to it, it just, comes me down, peacefully, in anytime, any where, any situation. Ho oh, you are the best.
Heartgold was my first Pokemon game. Although I like Lugia's song more, ho-oh's design is better than Lugia's in my opinion.
Xmen Rogue same with me
I love all legendary/mythical pokemon eaqualy
Oposite of you
Wow this theme is so good 😍

Keep your memories. Nothing is worth more! You would see things differently after replaying the game..
I Wonder why Lugia didnt get something like this. Hes battle theme sucked too
Ja'far, Chief of Sindria Trading Company I think lugias battle theme is good, it just doesnt have as much a "personality" to it as ho-oh's
Ja'far, Chief of Sindria Trading Company it's more likely to the fact that ho oh is the god of life
Ho oh got the better theme but Lugia is a better legendary
mr ink demon
That’s Xerneas. Ho-Oh is the color bird.
Kat Kloud oh shit well we can't all be right FAK!!!

Ho-oh is awesome.

Oh to get a remastered version of this
one for lugia?
Phoenix Feather.🔥
I like ho-ohs theme better than lugias because its more majestic and powerful while lugias is more deep and angry
I hope they remake heart gold and soul silver. I would have got heart gold if I knew you could catch lugia in that game too
I know that I'm just saying if I knew that BEFORE
T.A.W.musicgames make a remake of HG and SS? there already remakes of pokemon gold and silver
I know but maybe just a thought
Catching Lugia in the after game makes more sense because the after game is when you encounter the birds.
Vinnythebro People want remakes of Firered and Leafgreen. So it's possible.
