What type of cameras move periodically to detect motion to track targets ? Let us say a camera is facing east and the movement is in west , these auto tracking cameras would not be able to detect them right ? It would help of the camera can change direction when it senses movement.
i'm will install a trackmix under my carport. That means that there is no wall, the trackmix will be installed on the ceilling. What will happen with the autotracking if someone is walking to the camera, until being below it, and continue to walk "behind" while going away? Is the autotracking able to follow that ?

What disappoints me about the reolink 823a that I recently purchased for my driveway is that you have to choose between tracking and a patrol mode, it really annoys me that once a target is located is that is doesn't then track the target 😡.
I'm getting two track mix cameras next, I really like the 823a other than you have to choose between track and patrol, have you no firm wear updates planned to sort out this issue 🙏🏼
how long doe the reolink reocrd, one minute or continuous recording? normally most camera stop recording even though there is motion person after one minute or so

I have 12 of the Reolink cameras. 3 outdoor, the rest are indoor. It would be great on the indoor camera software to track common areas of a home or business, similar to the auto tracking of the outdoor cameras. Really like the quality of the outdoor cameras, solid construction and so forth - they are in constant patrol mode. I agree with others in the comments below about the patrol mode - when it senses motion to switch to auto track. Look forward to software updates and improvements.

G'day'I did a Firmware upgrade yesterday, I had a play around with the new layout and functions. I tried the auto track with the RLC-823A.There were too many people out on the street and the camera was confused about who to track. For this particuler aplication the auto track is not suitable. I am hoping to get the doorbell camera in 2023. It would be great if when the button is pressed it "Calls" the PTZ camera to that location and then tracks that person. That would have to be done in a new Firmware upgrade I assume.

Suggestions:
• make the lights tunable so the user can match the kelvin to the existing exterior lighting of the house
• enable auto-update functionality to work on wired / POE cameras! Currently auto-update only works on battery-powered cameras
• fix the two-way audio quality! It’s awful on every model I’ve tested

I have a slight "complaint". I have a trackmix camera and really like it. However lets say when using auto track, the Wide angle lens detects vehicle motion. The camera moves to lock in on the moving object. The problem is, my neighbors black car is always parked in the driveway of their white house. That presents a really strong signal for the AI, and 7 times out of 10, the camera locks on their car and not the REAL car that is in motion. It would be awesome if when you paint out detection areas that the camera remembers it's position in space and ignores that area. As the firmware is now, the area you've painted out on the camera moves with the pan/tilt function. I hope that makes sense.
Otherwise, and outstanding product.
Try masking the area where your neighbor usually park their car so the camera automatically ignores it.
I have E1 pro which, by the spec at your site should have the auto-tracking feature which it doesnt. Moreover, you didnt mentioned it in the video but only the E1 ourdoors. I'm about to buy the E1 zoom which should have that feature.. Does the E1 pro/zoom/both have that feature or not?!

Referencing the video shown, in the PT mode, does the camera pan when the object moves out of wide lens view?

Once the camera tracks a target, does it pan back to the regular position, and is that regular position customizable?
Yes, you can customize the guard point / regular monitoring position for the camera.
So I’ve got a Reolink camera that has this feature however when you click on the settings it’s connected to my Reolink NVR, I want it have this feature but also to record to my NVR how do I change this?
Hi Ednon, the camera can do auto tracking while recording to the NVR. These two functions don't conflict. when the camera stops following the person does it go back to a default position or does it remain pointed at the last detection?

Yes Hi. I have the reolink E1 Pro and for the life of me i cant get it pan nor tilt. I did everything thing that was said to do and my camera just sits there not following or anything.
In your settings go to Camera, Alarm Settings and make sure that Auto Tracking is set on.
If connected to the nvr, is it still recording to SD card at the same time? Also can the camera be connected via cat6 cable and wifi at the same time? If so which one takes priority?

1. If you enable both continuous recording and motion recording, it will record motion videos to the micro SD card and save the continuous recording to the NVR.
2. Reolink PoE cameras do not support WiFi. For WiFi cameras, the network cable will take priority.

I have a Hikvision NVR, does the TrackMix still occupy only one window or does it use two windows?
Hi, a TrackMix camera occupies one window on the Reolink NVR, and you can also let it display both views. But we're not sure how it will perform on the Hikvision NVR. Compatibility with NVRs from other brands is not 100% guaranteed.

Please make E1 Outdoor Pro 4K model in Black color ? also please improve 2-way speaker conversation quality in your E1 cameras, I have E1 Zoom V2 and 2-way speaker conversation is horrible, many echo, cracking etc. I have also Yi Camera 1080; and there quality is way better almost perfect. Also add 640x360 resolution 16:9 aspect ratio for E1 Zoom V2 for Fulent mode.
For some reason my new E1 Pro doesn’t track unless I manually do it. I tried it with me moving around and then with my cat and nothing. I have everything set up according to instructions and still nothing. Could I be missing doing something?

wait a second, I have just installed my track mix camera, but I dont have the 2 lenses display on the app as you have show in the video. I have to manually switch lenses each time.... how to get the 2 lenses views simultaneously?

Yes, you can record 24/7 to a 256GB micro SD card in the camera, but it might run out of storage in a few days, and new recordings will overwrite the old ones.
And yes, you can download videos to your phone from the micro SD card using the mobile app.

A question why can’t I see the 2 screens on my phone? I have trackmix Poe because I’ve already updated it and I can’t see the two screens and I know everything about the video and I also downloaded the latest update. It’s the same as you recommend. Hello Christian, thanks for your feedback. Please find the binocular mode icon on the top right corner of thet camera view interface and tap the icon to switch between different display modes. However, if the TrackMix PoE is connected to the NVR, the dual display is unavailable on the app/client but only available on the NVR monitor. We will update the firmware and software to make them compatible.
@Reolink I have the exact same issue on both- option for the 6X Zoom on app or NVR, and it doesn't have the split screen even on the NVR like you said it does. Can you please help me? I'm really disappointed that this is not stated in the description prior to buying. Reolink customer support has not replied to me either

Which of those cameras listed have the patrol option ? Otherwise , the tracking function wouldn't work if the person was out of the cameras field of view ?
G'day, I have 1 823A camera but I don't use the Patrol option as I usually have it pointed at a "bottle neck" location.
Hi, RLC-823A and RLC-823A 16X have the patrol option.
823a has a patrol option but when someone is spotted in patrol mode rather than then following the object it just ignored it and catmerys on tracking, I'm very disappointed by this, like a security guard spotting someone then just carrying on round his route rather then going to investigate!

I just finished installing my trackmix poe NVR and I don't have 2 displays on the screen, it doesn't auto-zoom nor can I see the 3 tracking methods in the app. So what did I do wrong?

However, you can switch between the wide-angle image and the zoom-tracking image on the app: After updating the camera/NVR firmware and app to the latest version, please find the image/stream icon on the camera view interface and tap the icon to switch between different display modes.

I’ve heard if you connect the POE camera to your router/switch…you can get 2 displays on the screen.

Please update Trackmix with VERTICAL Tracking range. (I have 3 cameras that go over my property and capture from the neighbor across the street. Because of this I would block the camera with a maximum vertical level .. (privacity problems))

Hi I've got 2 trackmix one is placed on the side of the house to keep an eye on back garden the camera is placed just under my back gate of the property the camera will track me but once I get to the gate the camera tilt down and when I walk onto the driveway it stops tracking me I've tried it on and digital track first pan and tilt track any help would be appreciated

I have 2 track mix cameras Iv just purchased.
Both are Poe and I am using a 16 channel reolink NVR with only 5 channels in use, I have set them up exactly as with my other cameras so cable going directly from the camera straight into the NVR via the long length of cat 6 Poe.
The problem is both cameras only show 1 view and give no option for the dual screen icon either. What am I doing wrong does it need to be plugged into two seperate channels on the NVR and if so how?

We asked the same question and were told due to using a NVR and not stand alone mode that you don't get the option to see both cameras in the dual screen mode. That is a bad that if you buy an NVR you are somehow penalized on features. I hope they fix this option. Also I couldn't figure out how to view the zoomed "tracking" video when doing a playback on the NVR. It only records the wide angle. When looking at the NVR feed directly it does the picture in picture but why doesn't it show that on the app?
How would this type of camera behave if it detects several people passing through the lens simultaneously. which one will follow

The battery-powered versions can record to the cloud, but the wired PoE and WiFi versions cannot.
Right now I just have a 360 camra connected to nvr and its not auto tracking?

Unfortunately the E1 shows nothing but the faintest of ghosts at night if the person is moving, until they're about 2 inches away otherwise I'd grab 4 for each corner of the house.
Hi, you can try setting a fixed frame rate via Reolink App/Client to prevent ghosting. Reolink cameras automatically drop the frame rate during the nighttime to ensure enough exposure time, but that might result in ghosting sometimes. If you need further assistance, please contact our support team.

Hi, our R&D team is working on adding auto tracking to the RLC-823A 16X. Currently, the RLC-823A with 5X optical zoom and the E1 Outdoor PoE with 3X optical zoom have auto tracking.
Update: The newest firmware for RLC-823A 16X supports auto tracking now and it's available for download in the Download Center.🙂
