      Wee-Yum Stuart
      And he was knocked out by the table and the floor.
      Hop is probably selling his next fight already.
      He'll probably fly to Russia or Ukraine and be a punching bag for a local hero.
      He, Roy and Shane should have a traveling boxing circus.
      They should call it the Ringding Brothers.
      Why wrestle with a declawed bear when you can knock out 3 hall of famers for a few more dollars ?

    • @redscorpion9325
      @redscorpion9325 8 лет назад +6

      He knocked off the Ring and it was a long hard fall,of course he probably thought he got pushed but he wasn't in his right mind set he probably had a concussion.The video clearly shows he didn't get pushed out,it doesn't matter what Hopkins think

      see i feel like roy was feasting on so-so comp and got complacent at 175. he was pretty much primed then and i think him and hopkins would've gave us one for the ages
      tarver greatly benefited by roy's moving up to heavyweight but he would've given roy trouble regardless

Everyone that does something they love face the same thing. 1 day we will not be the same welder, the same forklift operator, the same cook,the same preacher, so forth and so on. I hear what some of these guys are saying but you hate to see legends take beatings unnecessarily. I understand that's the way they have to go out sometimes but you don't want to see brain injuries from fighting too long. I'm from Pensacola so of course I love Roy and I will always support him but I really don't want him to fight anymore.
      I was going to lift at PJC and I was walking through the basketball court and Roy was playing ball. I don't know if this guy was talking shit or if it was his friend but him and another guy decided to slap box. I thought this other guy is extremely brave or mildly retarded. Roy kept slapping the shit out of this guy until he quit. I knew the outcome before it started but the other guy just had to try. This was around 1993 to 94 so you know it was not a good idea to fight him back then.

      BLOND GHANDI Hopkins is a legacy in his own right. Defeated Pascal, Roy Jones Jr, Pavlik, Wright, Taver, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Joppy, etc. As an old man, stayed in the ring with. powerful Kovalev, Calzaghe, Dawson. Roy has kissed the canvas one too many times. If u dont like BHop, then cool but don't act like Roy shouldn't have been hung em up. I'm just stating facts. There goes my logic...

He left Naziim never told him he wasn't invited to camp Naziim didn't even know Bernard was fighting. I lost alotta respect for him not staying true to his circle.Therefore I hoped he lost because he's an opportunist and he recklessly discarded his foundation. Yo tell me how your trainer for the last 12-13 years doesn't know you're fighting or doesn't know he's fired doesn't get invited? Yo it's unprofessional and unethical. In my feelings,you dudes use that phrase a lil too much. Yo man I just told you why I said why I said. Now if I was like a lotta white cats that don't like him because he said before the Calzaghe fight 7 years ago "I'll never lose to a white boy" that would be in my feelings. I sympathize with Bouie (rip) and Naziim who rode with this guy for about 20 years. Then had him snatch the rug from under their feet when they thought you were a big part of his team. How would you feel(if you can imagine yourself in this position)if your job you had been on for 15 years moved and you found out by seeing it on the news? Nobody called you or anything and they never call you. You find out you were not employed by them via TV or by hearsay? If that company was to go bankrupt or hit a string of misfortune would you not feel that to be a sense of karma? Or would you sympathize with the job that sh*tted on you? Well, you prob can tell I would not sympathize with them and me not being a part of it or not have anything to do with the situation would not change a thing. Hence me hoping he would lose this meaningless fight and maybe ponder on being loyal and humble. As we see humility is out of the question. I rode with Bernard since he was fighting on BET that's way back in 91-92. My dude but right is right and wrong is wrong...

    • @BreuckelensFinest
      @BreuckelensFinest 8 лет назад +6

      Trump Don - I'm going to make this VERY clear, there is no bigger & loyal fan of b-hop than me, now that being said, Hopkins absolutely was NOT winning this fight. he won 2 of the rounds only. He looked decent with his head movement but his legs were gone. Be honest about the assessment of this fight.
      Bernard Hopkins got KO'd for the first time in his great career. He literally got knocked out of the ring, Not shoved. Hopkins was in shock, literally in shock when hit the floor. He was in pain. He is about 25 days short of his 52nd birthday. Enough Bernard.
      His body can't take that kind of abuse. Again there's no bigger b-hop fan than me but I'm glad for this loss and this kind of loss for many reasons but especially for his disloyalty and disrespect for Naazim Richardson. He needed to be taught humility last night, no more Ego! And hopefully he learned.
      in fact, it taught me humility. b-hop will still be one of my favorite boxer's of all time. But enough b-hop.

    • @trumpdon3395
      @trumpdon3395 8 лет назад

      BreuckelensFinest b hop was slipping his punches and pot shotting Smith. Later rounds hop would have taken over an arm tired Smith. Judges had a draw at that time. Boxing is an art its very subtle everybody don't see. Alot of announcers say they have to re-watch fights. Now that being said he was inactive and u can see his age catching up. He got caught leaning and Smith landed clean shots that propelled him out of the ring in a fluke accident. He was not knocked out. But the fight in him was. He outclasses Smith 9 out of ten fights. And if u are bhops fan u know he is a notorious slow starter

      BreuckelensFinest Bhop was winning the fight. I know, I was there, sober and close enough to see the fight clearly, plus I am a student of the game and happens to box myself. Some this is not some casual RUclips comment. He just got caught plain and simple. Many people at ringside thought he slipped all of those punches and was shoved out if frustration, not the case. I agree that he does need to retire as I agree that Roy needs to. Bhop was playing possum and running Smith into the right hand every round. Smith was looking for the right hand the whole fight and chasing, mostly missing shots

      Deandre Cary I agree then hop is great but his time is up. Roy time been up a long time ago

    • @deandrec3450
      @deandrec3450 8 лет назад

      Don't know what you are talking about or understand, but watch the fight and see for yourself. If you saw it, watch it again and don't get caught up in the moment. When Smith had him caught on the ropes, for the most part, Bhop slipped his punches and made him miss, and he was landing his shots clean and more telling then smith landed his. Hopkins' movement was frustrating him. Smith' best work was when he was facing an idle target right in front of him. Was the tactic Bernard was using a dangerous one? Yes, but he was fairly successful up until he got caught. He was off balance when he slipped the first shot, and in between the ropes. The last two were going to land because he had nowhere to go and was unable to move in that position. Like I told my friend at the fight, Bhop has been out of the ring for like 2 years, last fight was Kovalev, which he lost. Father time what's for no one. Every dog has his day

    truly a legend. an all time great. I even think a prime middleweight Hopkins could win one out of three vs Ray Robinson. Robinson wins 2 but I think Hopkins had the size, awkwardness, savy, and chin to steal one in a three fight series...and that's saying a hell of a lot. I wish Hopkins would retire actually wish he and Roy would stop. Not for their legacies because what they did during their careers is undeniable, and can't be taken away. but for their health and the fact as long time fans of both, it's hard to stomach seeing guys KO Roy and Bernard brutally and decisively that I KNOW could not have even competed with them yrs ago. A salute to your career Bernard, a real class act and legendary champion..

      +James Davis ..once again I respect all viewpoints I'm just giving an opinion. Ray Robinson was P4P greatest ever. Hands down. I'm well aware of his record, accomplishments and dominance. And I think Robinson wins 2 of 3. Bit Randy Turpin was big, awkward, tough and determined...and he snuck one away from Robinson. I think with Hopkins chin, defense, knowledge, sheer size and ability to roughhouse and adjust his fight plan to fit the opponent, I think he could surprise Sugar Ray and eek out a close decision. although I do think Ray would have his number in the rematch as well as the rubber match. I sincerely believed in his prime and his prime hit late mind you, that Bernard Hopkins was good enough to get a win over anybody in middleweight history. Just my opinion

    I don't consider Jones v. Hopkins 2 to be definitive in their match up. Jones has it right at the end where he says Hopkins + crew wouldn't fight him. Hopkins ducked him for a good 7 years and when 2 finally came around Jones just didn't have it to prove against him anymore that he could do him twice.

Respect to Bhop going out like a champ and respect to Joe Smith Jr for putting out like a champ should. No questions no more what ifs. Smith did it right imo and the problem was with the ring having such a far fall for fighters. Wtf are they thinking? And that camera man should've caught him. What an ass. This was going to happen one way or another if Hopkins kept fighting. Roy knows from firsthand experience. The same thing happened to him. An when you consider who Hopkin's fought, well, what else did you expect. Knocked right the fuck out of the ring. Bernard couldn't come to grips with what happened. His ego would only allow a response like he was pushed. LOL.

    Bernard was stupid fighting Joe. He should have done the same thing Floyd did. Fight a less dangerous fighter for your farewell fight. Instead he chose a young fighter (knowing you don't have the punching power to keep him off you) and a hungry construction worker at such. Trying to prove what? You've already proven yourself over the years. Now, you had to disgrace yourself to say goodbye. I wish you all the best BHOP and still have a great deal of respect for you. So, I don't see why I should be hating on Floyd. He (Floyd) didn't steal my money, we don't run in the same circle. You claim to be a "thug4u3" and your ass is as sensitive as Michael Jackson.
