I have the 49 key version coming for Christmas and I am so excited as I have been wanting a MIDI keyboard for 20 years now and I don't even play (too many years since I played an instrument (a Trumpet) that I have forgotten most of what I knew) but this thing looks like it will do everything I need. The only downside I see is the lack of endless knobs.

Hi sir! I'm looking to get one for travel. My favorite is Arturia Keylab but they don't make a 37 key version. Will the Novation 37 key MK3 be good for travel? I don't want to buy mini keys.
The chorus noise can be annoying on the Roland Cloud instruments. Use the 'NOS' dial on the chorus screen to turn it to zero. That will stop the hissing....
I've been very pleased with my Roland Cloud subscription so far.. I've been signed up for over 2 years and they are constantly adding new stuff I never get bored and I own the Jupiter and Juno now too thanks to the loyalty program. 😀
Hi Woody - total agree with stepping away from the technology to just focus on the music. Too easy to get sidetracked by focusing on sound design, effects etc.
25 is no good for two handed playing, 49 sweet spot for me, but 37 is fine if space is limited, or for travel. i have a video about it somewhere on the channel.
I’ve just bought the 61 key - really pleased - had the Mk2 before I seem to have the same oscillator drift problem on my Arturia version of the Juno 6 also - and the chorus feedback - maybe just a feature of the synth 🤷♀️
Hey Woody. Y'know how you can play chords on a Yamaha keyboard and have an immediate style/accompaniment to play along with live... is there anything like that on PC for MIDI controller keyboards that sounds decent? BIAB is close but not live (requires pre-writing out chord sheets). I'd love to see a video featuring various software along these lines.
I recently bought a Roland FA-06 for the fun of it and have only the tiniest understanding of how it works. So, watching you work with the Novation Launchkey and the DAW I quick realize I'm in the presence of real genius. My head turned to stone the first time you twisted a dial and now I'm quite sure now that I will never quite figure out how to get this damn Roland to faithfully record or save my little recordings without introducing other instruments into the mix. No matter. I think you are a genius and quite probably a National Treasure.
Great video. Can i do incremental program change with the buttons? i m aware that i can map each pad to send one program change. but this doesnt allow me to scroll all the presets in synths with hundreds of presets. i dont want to use a knob to scroll through presets. not precise.
I'm totally new at this and lost! I bought a Novation launchkey MK3 61 and I'm using Ableton 10 Lite. I downloaded the Standalone features in to it thinking that I was supposed too! Now I can't get back to the original settings that came with the controller, when I turn it on it automatically comes on in custom modes and I don't want that! How do I reverse this??I want to learn to use it the original way it came?
What determines the colors of the pads? Many of Novation's videos, pictures, etc. show lots of different colors, but in most videos here on RUclips, only green and red are usually shown.
Hi Woody, i love Zenology did you notice that when you use quite a few instance of Zenology (around 10) sometimes some instance do not play sound anymore like mute. Im using Studio One 4.6 and no other vsts do that , i tried in another daw too.
I wonder: is it possible to use usual keyboard, with no launch pads, for launching clips in Abletone? Maybe map usual note keys for this? How? i have Novation X-Station, it lacks this feature.
hi there, love your video! could you tell me how these sounds are called ? i mean, all sounds you used for the riff, strings, bass, lead? i would really appreciate this...
oh gosh, really sorry, i just picked presets till i found something close and tweaked the filter a bit usually, didn't make notes and don't have the project.
I found it funny hearing pitch drifts on Juno and JX models on my Jupiter X as I've never actually experienced such behavior on the original synths that I own thanks to the power of DCOs! Whenever I thought I heard drifting, it's always been the case where I forgot to turn down the LFO xD
@@WoodyPianoShack I Know this is a late reply, but at around 18:28 when you open the plugin, you can see a little blue line on the "Fine Tune" knob. I can only assume that's showing LFO modulation.
