My mom used to sell at flea markets on weekends when I was a child. We woke up at 5:00 am and my mom would sell clothes. She made good money. I used to sell burritos. I was like 10 yrs old. We would put music and that would attract more people, and having a shade also attracted people. They liked the break from the sun and the music made you stand out.
My husband and I are thinking about doing something like this. It sure would help to bring more income into our house and be debt free. I appreciate all of your tips and advice.
Wow! That’s a lot. We have a few up north that are $100 a spot bc they’re closer to the city. Really have to have high end stuff for a spot that costs that much.
What kind of clothes should I get ? If to sell at fleas I already sell college/y2k but I know more people go to fleas and wanna open up a variety of brands that may be popular
A person can easily profit $50k a year if you did FM’S full time, to profit $50k you would have to do about $150k a year in sales, but if you want to be your own boss and make a decent living it’s very very possible. To make that kind of money you don’t just do it half way it’s a hustle and lots of work but fun.
I hope everyone makes WAY more than $50k if they work all those hours! I'm a reseller, I work about 10 hours a week and make that much, and more. And for the record, I do not sell on eBay. I only sell locally on FBMP. It takes as much effort to make $8 profit as it does $200 profit. You would need to sell 521 items a month (at $8 profit) to make $50k a year and I would need to sell 20 items a months (at $200 profit) to make $50k a year. Not knocking anyone, just pointing out how much less work a person can do to make as much or more. Good luck!
Hey Monika Nick I'm also a vendor in a free-market guy and I have a lot of stuff flea market stuff maybe we can get together and you guys could look at what I got and I saw you the whole thing
Omg I love Columbus flea market. We use to go there every weekend . My dad and step mom still go there and shop all the time. To bad I moved to Ohio 6 years ago. I Haven't been to a flea market since. The Amish market there has the best food!!!!!
You’ll make more selling online, it’s more work but better in the long run, I’m sure the $640 was revenue, flea market is a decent side hustle but at the end of the day there’s only so much money you can make. I use to sell at the flea market, it’s a waste of time and effort. You can have something that retails for $200 and be asking for half of retail for brand new and cheap customers will still want it for less.

Very true! This year we got a better spot and have regulars. Some days my husband pulls $800-$1000. But you’re right it is work.

Hi Briana!! Thanks for the comment. Yes their ribs and baked goods are the best 😋 lol
Do yall have to charge a sales tax
Did you need a business license.?
It's Yoko and John sell stuff at the swap meet. Just kidding you guys are awesome.
😂 this made me laugh a little too much lol thanks
Do i need a license??
Each flea market is different. For us we don’t unless you’re selling food. If you call their main office they should be able to tell you.
BEFORE I WASTE MY TIME WITH THIS VIDEO!!! >> YOU SAY YOU MADE $640 SELLING AT THE FLEA MARKET??? >> IS THAT GROSD OR NET.. WHAT IS YOUR ROI???
