My favorite thing about the 310R is you can have individual "states" specific to whatever your tail number is.
Use the same livery, but you can have one tail number as a Rental, or another tail number as your "Owned" plane which is your responsibility to maintain, or assign another tail number to the most basic default settings just for quick flights.
I have both planes and they're both amazing though.

Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I Was going to just buy both craft, but then you mentioned something I hadn't heard of FSRealistic.... Ok so now I'm going to get only one craft for now and FSRealistic. Since I typically fly between FL 6.5 and FL 12 I think I'll grab the 310R now and get the 414A when I hit level 6 in OnAir.

Definitely an FAA approved descent at 58:45 there.

Thanks for the vid, I am a fan of both these types. As for which is best, I do think the C414 has the edge for me, but as it’s subjective and they are both of a high standard, it isn’t important. Certainly the developer of the C414 has worked hard to update all sort of things that people might see as issues, refining it bit by bit so now it’s a beauty! (Early 2023)

I haven't tried the 310 but went for the 414 instead. That plane is an absolute beauty. The flight model just wipes the floor with anything in the GA marketplace. Combined with the new realistic truculence and it's just incredible. I've done a few discovery flight irl and this is the first GA airplane where I felt like I was actually flying through air and not on rails. 10/10

Thanks! Good video! I still have no idea. I am leaning towards the 414, but I'll probably buy whichever goes on sale first.

That's the overwhelming response I have heard. I prefer the 414 for many cases as well, but I still break out the 310 occasionally as well.

I know this video is a few months old, but I did come across it after doing a search comparing the two. I really appreciate your detailed comparison between the two. I've been following the development of the 414 for awhile, I just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. After watching this, I think I have made my decision on which aircraft to buy. I'm curious to see how this video holds up to the updated 414 now. Thank you again for your video! P.S. I really am amazed how you pulled the 414 out of the flat spin. I would of 100% slammed it into the ground with nothing left to recover lol.

Nothing wrong with being late to a video. I do it for plenty of the channels I'm subbed to. Glad it helped you make up your mind. I think I like the 414 a little bit better as well.
Also, as for saving the aircraft, I'm pretty sure that was mostly luck of the draw lol.

@@SampleHalo246 Yes, you used the wrong rudder input (right instead of left). The trick is to look at the turn/slip ball which was firmly out to the left in the spin. The rule is to 'kick the ball into the middle' so you should have used left rudder to exit the spin.

I didn't know that the C310 and 410 were related. I know they were made by the same company, but it never occurred to me that the systems were similar.

Really good video, many thanks for all the info!
Seems to me both aircraft are clearly the best GA aircraft for MSFS atm, the C414 being bigger, higer ceiling etc compared to the C310 dpeending on routes you like to fly.
The C310 seems to have this unique feature of aging through flying and breaking parts that others don't have (if you turn that on) and the C414 doesn't seem to have, although both have failure features manually and lots of ground stuff each with top fidelity.
Ideally I'd like both but with aging pc tech not sure how thier fair in fps as I struggle anyhow, but hear there not too bad compared to others payware stuff.
Both also seem to have very good soundpacks which do make such a difference it's a shame how bad some payware aircraft are when you look at the best that's out there.
I take it both don't have inplane use of Navigraph though so wonder if they add that at some point.
Also both seem to get updates although I'm not sure if MSFS market place version gets them as often as ording from 3rd party site?
Some say you get more & quicker via not from Marketplace? But unsure how much that's true just heard some say that?
Thanks for the comparison look at the two aircraft very nicely done.

Glad you liked the video! I'm not 100% sure on the failures on the 414 as I always try to fly inside operating limits. I did experience an issue with the hydraulic system on the 414 that was fixed by opening and closing the resivour on the maintenance menu.
On the topic of using Navigraph, I think it could be done in the 414 with the GTN750xi payware addon. I don't have it but I believe it includes Navigraph charts. FlySimWare is where I bought the 414 from and I got updates same day from them. The Cessna 310 I got from Orbix and there seems to only be a couple days delay at most.

@@SampleHalo246 Awesome oh yeah maybe the 750Ni does have it intergrated didn't think of that but thats another big lay out for that. Interesting yeah i think I might avoid the marketplace for time being for the future proofing and update reasons then.
      Great job thanks again.
