This face video has been excellent because we have a Havanese and a Coton De Turlear, their coats are close to the Maltese in many ways. Thanks!

I love Bishons. But appreciate a Maltese cut video because I have a Maltese Shihtzu :)

They are so gorgeous, Maltese and Bichons are from the same family. Maltese are such beautiful dogs 😍😍😍

    You did a great job!
My Maltese has thin, dry hair. I doubt if he'd ever look that beautiful!
Thanks for giving some excellent advice here.

So very pretty. I love your videos. I do not have a Maltese. I have a Cavapoo. The technique is basically the same when shaping a head. Shampooing and blowing out the coat is so important if you want to get an awesome groom. Melanie, you do this so beautifully, and I want to thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Hello, thank you so much for your warm comment. Yes, the technique is the same and prep work is the first step to a perfect groom, you are absolutely correct 💗💗💗

I really love watching your tutorials, thank you! I've learned so much and finally feel confident to do the teddy bear cut on my mini-labradoodle, Sophie. I would like to offer some constructive criticism from a learner's perspective. It would be so helpful to be able to see the model as you see it as you are doing your work. Perhaps a go-pro with a light, just a thought. Also, it was very difficult for me to follow what you were doing on the black poodle in your teddy bear cut tutorial but she turned out so beautiful, as do all your models.

I have a Maltipoo, so should I follow grooming instructions for a Maltese or poodle?

I love your video doing the Maltese head an face. I have been grooming my Appa for about 2 years and I’m looking to upgrade all of my scissors could you recommend a site?

Looks like a bichon. Wonder if the Maltese mother didn't meet a bichon father?😅

I am very scared you almost poked the dogs eyes with the pointed scissors! Shouldn't they be blunt end scissors?

Those rounded end scissors are not professional scissors, I’m a professional and won’t hurt her eyes but for home groomers that are not confident then yes you can use those rounded tip ones. We have a video on how to scissor correctly and talk about being careful around face and eyes
