The upside down V archway with the shelf just below was likely used for a statue of the Blessed Virgin. Usually the archway was set up for adoration or prayer.

So glad you guys decided to stop on this evening. A truly sweet gem of an encounter. Some of those font styles were awful to try reading, like reading an ancient codex in a forgotten language. The chair that you showed, looked like the writing was in latin, but the font made it very difficult to attempt to read it.
Was happy that you found my initials at the doorway. 👻

What a beautiful little church..I think it was the Crimean War, before the Boer war....The temple's cross called The vermilion cross, which is still in use today, was granted to the Templars in 1147 by Pope Eugene III, giving them the right to wear it on their left shoulder, on the same side as their heart.

They say great minds think alike.....as you were showing the arch with the four petal flowers or roses I was thinking that they looked like the “Tudor Rose”. Next thing that’s pretty much what you, Matt, said.
That is a fantastic old historic church. It’s a real pity that it’s going to waste and that nothing is being done to save it or even repurpose it. It could be used as the town’s community centre...as an example.
Sadly too many historic buildings are going to rack and ruin!😢
I fear that sooner rather than later the wrong people will get in there and they’ll vandalize the place and destroy lots of beautiful historic items.
I can’t believe that they left those huge bibles in there to just rot away!!! That’s sacrilegious. I’m not an overly religious person but I feel it’s such a shame for those lovely bibles to just be left there to rot, or be eaten by rodents or used as their beddings or to just be destroyed by vandals.

    FYI GUYS.... from Wikipedia
The Second Boer War, also known as the Boer War, the Anglo-Boer War, or the South African War, was a conflict fought between the British Empire and the two Boer Republics over the Empire's influence in Southern Africa from 1899 to 1902. Triggered by the discovery of diamond and gold deposits in the Boer republics, the Boers launched successful attacks against British outposts in the opening stages of the war before being pushed back by imperial reinforcements. Though the British swiftly occupied the Boer republics, numerous Boers refused to accept defeat and engaged in guerrilla warfare. Eventually, British scorched earth policies brought the remaining Boer guerillas to the negotiating table, ending the war.

Love your Videos x. John the Baptist sees Jesus and exclaims, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
The two brothers died 1854 and 1870 so was before the first Boar war which was 1880. So many wars around the dates for them passing!
1840-1860 Eumerella war -Australia lasted 20 years
    Gambia - Soninke-Marabout War (1850-1856) lasted 16 years
    China - Taiping Rebellion 1850 1864 lasted 14 years
1850-1853- Eighth Xhosa War South Africa lasted 3 years could have been wounded end of war and died 1854?
1845 -1872 - various new zealand wars (so many different wars over this time stamp) lasted 27 years
    1870 1890 Kalkadoon Wars - lasted 20 years.
for a small island and people, we were in overlapping wars around the world most years of the 1800's. Don't think we had many men left in the uk in the 1800's! Notice we were in all first 5 wars at the same in 1850.

Estey Organ & Piano Co. made high end organs for over 100 years in the US. I think they made electric organs and keyboard until the 1990's. Here is some history about them. What did surprise 😲 me about this Amazing find, was that the church had left the font there especially, because when a church no longer ceases to be used then, what they normally do and that, is they take the font and , destroy it bysmash it up, and Bury the pieces in different places, just so no-one ie the wrong people ie Satan worshipers get hold of it, & Use it for ungodly purposes etc, satanic worshipping etc...X

Possible wars could of been, crimean war 1853-1856, anglo-zulu war 1879-1879, first boer war 1880-1881. North Lincolnshire militia 1757-1881. Apparently the Lincolnshire 'army' was started in 1685 by the earl of Bath, an over the years its changed its name, from names, to individual unit numbers etc the history is massive, very fascinating, especially considering they have been involved in 100s of battles.

Also to do with the stained glass window, the quote under the woman says, 'and God sent forth his son made of a woman'. Its basically talking about how God has gifted his only son to the world, to help mankind.
