Honestly, with how much unresolved trauma Phoenix has, (his mentor dying, all the shit with dahlia and Iris, losing his badge for 7 years and probably being alone for all or most of that, it’s probably pretty hard to constantly be around murder, and I’m sure many other things) I wouldn’t be surprised by this. But seriously, Phoenix needs some therapy.
During those times he always had someone or some people relying on him. Maya, Pearl and Trucy... he had to stay strong for them despite the emotional pain he felt inside. It's the same with how Maya acted after T&T finished- despite what she had gone through, she strived to stay strong for Pearls. Phoenix has been doing the exact same thing for the entirety of the series. I guess that's what makes him a great character (and a father)
You forget all the physical abuse he suffer on the courtroom, the trauma of trying to cross-examine animals and the fact he almost died many times. Yeah, we really live a hard life.

The Bridge To The Turnabout Case in a Nutshell, Dalia Hawthorne, The Death Of His Mentor, Not having Maya With him for a very long time, losing his badge, not seeing his friends in 7 years, The Law Situation, the Bullying in his School, etc etc etc. The man just hides it with a Badass attitude from Apollo Justice and Forward but the man really is playing Chess in 8 dimensions with his Mental Health in order to not fall apart.

Red Psyche-Locks (Unordinary Locks) - They never break, all they serve is for you to break the locks in a certain order for them, the only way to make them break is if you completely break the other locks in a certain order. All unordinary locks are meaningless to the hidden secret, if there are all red locks, then the truth for the secret is easy to figure out and the secret is irrelevant.
I kinda get what you mean for the explanation. It's not that the secret itself is that important, it's just a massive mental barrier against you finding out before it's the right time. I guess kinda like a timer, or grains of sand that you have to wait there to know about. We know what the symbol is and who it represents. As soon as the Crimson Psyche-lock shows *it gets dark* (SPOILER ALERT) I get the feeling this was before Kristoph's final destination. Remember the other video where it was mentioned that Kristoph ruined Phoenix's life because of that forged evidence which damaged him. It's also mentioned that Kristoph wouldn't mind Phoenix attempting to kill himself a few times which I speculate he can't handle this pain anymore while trying to kill himself during his 1st or 2nd suicide but I believe the 3rd attempt of suicide almost killed him. I mean Kristoph himself said it in the court: "Was I the one who told him to kill himself?!" I also want to know how Phoenix became friend's with Kristoph after what happened.

The Crimson psyche locks represent other things Kristoph did something worse to Phoenix than the ones he did (namely the dark psyche locks on Kristoph show how much he ruined his life after Phoenix was disbarred). They are the hardest locks to unlock. No matter how much evidence, the lock doesn't break. It almost seems unbreakable. Like the rest the Crimson psyche locks have 5, but sometimes it could possibly have more than the limit.

And no getting help from apolo is not an option because his either in khura'in and even if he gets to phoinex, spotting a lie won't do as phoinex is just going to keep it a secret anyways to stop himself from breaking down.

The video really would work well in the AA series as a side story. I mean, we know what atleast 2 of the locks are hising, her family's fucked up history. And the relation between apollo and trucy. Maybe the rest are just his past trauma like Dahlia and Larry
