the Genesis 2.0T sounds amazing with downpipe and catback. Excited to see what downpipe you're going to put on. I have a cp-e downpipe which integrates the 02 housing that I definitely recommend
You should get the evo 9 turbo kit for the genesis it brings a twin scroll turbo manifold with a the evo 9 turbo and the down pipe good for around 350-450hp depends on supporting mods

They said they told him over the phone to bring it (which according to Robbie they didn't) and when Robbie confronted them with THEIR mistakes, they told him to go get it checked somewhere else because he gave them attitude
Those tubes beside muffler aren't silencers. They're there to eliminate drone. Also ARK Performance exhaust systems aren't meant to be loud. The downpipe will make a bit louder but nothing ridiculous
Can confirm, the Ark Grip on my 13 wrx works only on the passenger side at idle and low load. Once you get on it the exhaust fully opens up and increases in sound.

Robbie. The best bang for your buck mod imo is setting up your swaybar bias. A thicker rear bar will make the car oversteer through a corner. A bigger front bias setup will tend to understeer more.
I have a 2011 Genesis Coupe 2.0T. The rattle might not be from the exhaust leaking. The V4 engine under load makes a loud rattle noise, this happens specially when you have the front and or rear defrosters on. It's weird but when I hit the clutch, the noise disappears. Double check your load by turning the defrosters on and off. If it works, you're solid!
The exhaust sounds awesome, do you think you or Brad are gonna try tuning? It'd be cool to see if you can make a "fireball" map or get an ecu with multiple profiles so you can have one to play with and one for a professional tune.
It has an attentuator in the resonator. That's what the quiet idle is. Even quieter for a 3.8l actually. Also, your car will sound better once manual swapped. The auto holds the exhaust back.
You forgot the #1 unwritten rule of doing exhaust work, when you have it all taken off, you HAVE to start the car open headers you've got to Robbie its the law.
12:18 I'm sure you already know this by now given how this is almost a year old video but for those who don't know, the dual-clutch system of the automatic has a self-adjusting rev matcher. So that little boost is because it's meeting the correct RPMs to transition through a smooth down-shift. Manuals you usually have to stab at the gas because if you don't meet the RPM limit it kind of bogs itself down in most manual cars.
This is really just a guess, but I've seen someone else install a resonator similar to how those tanks sitting branched off near your muffler are. You can install resonators like that, branching off the side, instead of inline. I'm not sure if/how it changes the effect of it, but I think that's what it is. And yes, resonators are very helpful in keeping the car quiet at idle.
I have the exact same exhaust on my 2013 3.8 and had nothing but fitment issues, flanges are crooked, it was a NIGHTMARE. (I assume the quality was so low because it just came out) but it SOUNDS AMAZING!
Hey Robbie, as someone who has worked in a shop for some years and use lifts a lot please please please safety first, lift the vehicle a few inches off the ground and give it a good shake before lifting higher. Great video great channel, just keep safety in mind my guy. And stay committed!

On my genesis you can get a lot of back fire and popping by just pressing on the gas really lightly while in high RPM’s

The sound has to be related to the flex pipe.
The side pipe is to help with drone
This exhaust setup with a testpipe replacing secondary cat really magically opens this exhaust up
