What a a damn good bike, when you started to say the price, I thought that would be a hell of a lot of bike for 12 grand.....then you said 11599 ! Looks like an absolute winner - very nicely presented too Mr Chopsy 👍👍
Great to see Suzuki have hit the spot with this new GT. I’m a big Suzuki fan and looking at this new bike I’m sure it’s going to be a winner for the touring guys. From what you are saying I think it’s going to be a bike that does everything very well. Looking forward to seeing you testing it out real soon buddy. Thank as always for another great job Chops
I’ve been wanting Suzuki to make a competitor for the Ninja 1000SX and they’ve finally done it! I didn’t think they would. I suspect that one is in my future. Thanks, Chopsie! Too bad Andy TMF crashed on your house.
You definitely have the best intro! Very interesting bike. Suzuki had to update to compete with the latest Kawasaki Z1000SX (not H2) and it looks like they have done a brilliant job. Be interested if you could test ride both bikes and do a comparison... Keep up the good work, always enjoy your vids 🙂
£11,599 plus luggage, so, £12,300 ish with panniers and extras, definitely gone to number 1 for my next bike! Proper well thought through GT bike at a sensible price. Exciting!
Well done Suzuki. I actually prefer the look of this bike compared to the BMW RT. The price is certainly a lot more appealing!! Will be looking forward to your review Chopsy, should be interesting. Cheers mate.
Nice work Mr Chops and good to meet you briefly at Loomies the other day 👍. This is a nice surprise from Suzuki, reviving the sports tourer category is definitely a good move, this is not just a paint job for 2022. Good luck getting some Yamaha tests soon. Cheers
This is going to be a good bit a kit, basically a 2005 K5 GSXR in a comfy suit. Looks brilliant, can’t wait to have a go on one.... the black one looks cool as.... Kawasaki’s best seller the zx1000 will be worried. And a great price in today’s mkt....
I to have an ST and love it but this has a lot of nice features and stats in a comparable sized package. Too bad it's not one of those lovely shafties they made in the past. I can live with a chain with these features!
Wow, interested in seeing some actual ride reviews. Looks great and I love how Suzuki’s ride, this one shouldn’t be any different. And finally a TFT display! Bravo Suzuki.
Nice looking bike, I have the Z1000SX and this looks very similar so they will be going head to head in the market which can only be a good thing. Interesting!
People were asking for it and they received it! A z1000sx with the k5 motor. That dash is beautiful hopefully they stick it on the gsxs at some point and gsxr
I never thought it would happen. A Suzuki that's piqued my interest. That TFT is a slap in the face kipper moment. It's about time we are seeing these google type maps and a total shocker Suzuki where the 'first' on something that isn't a couch on wheels. You forget the Honda Goldwing also has full maps.
Cool. I've always owned faired bikes, but love the ease and comfort of the old cbr 600f, something quick but comfortable. This looks like a step back to my old favorite.
Brilliant as usual Love it and will likely be my next bike... I wish they made it so both lights were on on low beam.. Not so noticeable when stacked but obvious in the horizontal layout. I had the current model F and loved it... This looks to blow that one out of the water. It is also looks to be real competition against the Kwak Z1000SX
Nice to see a bike that's not begging for a tail tidy before taking delivery...I'm talking to you BMW and Ducati! I've never visited a Suzuki website or dealership but this bike is very intriguing. Great review!
@@saifaldin_ I have side by side lights on my Ducati, and people say "one of your lights isn't working." Why can't they have 2 side by side with dual globes or LED's in both?
@@darylclifford Yeah, people say that to me too sometimes (i ride a daytona 675). It’s a safety feature they implemented a few years ago. At that time most bikes don’t have fancy DRLs like they do now. Having both lights on at night can make other road users think that you’re a car at a distance, instead of a nearby motorcycle. That’s why manufacturers dim/ switch off one side. I’d rather answer (or ignore) annoying remarks once in a while, than having cars change lanes when i’m near them all the time.
Suzuki was always my favourite in my early days of rising with an X7 and GS750EN. Good to see they are starting to make decent bikes again. But one issue with the bike. If doesn't have the capability of top luggage then it's not a full on tourer. No back rest for the pillion ( the wife) and not enough space for clothes etc. Try touring Spain for two weeks on it 🤔. Will have to stick with the Tiger 1050SE it has full luggage and is a great tourer and a good solo blast bike.
Impressive. Looks brilliant doesn’t it… well, seeing as I’m going nowhere for 10 days (c-19 +) I can catch up with the videos I’ve missed. Keep em coming, Chops. 👍
Nice one Choppsie! I've got the current GSX-S1000F and as much as I love it, it does lack quite a few mod cons and obviously the option for hard luggage. At £11.5k I'll be extremely tempted to chop it in for the new one!!
A serious contender in the sports tourer market here. Nice little sit down with you learning of this new model. Looking forward to seeing them in the dealerships!
Nice vid. Looks surprisingly good imo. I can see design cues from the R1, FJ, VFR & Aprilia Futura in there a bit too. Bit of a shame it doesn't have a 6 axis IMU & lean angle ABS but I guess it doesn't absolutely need it & it's priced well. They can always be added as an update down the line if necessary I suppose.
I just got a 2021 Triumph Street Triple R(Which I really like) after a 5 year absence from my previous bike. I kicked around getting a used r1150rt/1200rt for touring in the spring to go with it , but I may wait a year for Suzuki to get the kinks out a trade in the Triumph and have a nice all in one bike.

At last, some competition for the Z1000SX. Rode the Z and it knocks the Tracer 9GT into a cocked hat. All we need now is for Honda to produce a touring CB1000 and we'll have some lovely touring inline 4s to choose from. Fours are so much better then twins! 😈
