Joyanima is not saying, "This is what is right and why aren't you paying attention to us," she is saying, "These are the female tendencies of which you should be aware, because of how women tend to instinctively communicate." All these signs were fine 40 years ago. Today paying attention to these signs is a good way to get arrested. Here's an idea ladies, stop flirting, be an adult and try telling the guy you want to get to know them. I was accused of harrassment by a woman who was showing some of these signs. Sounds like if a woman is noticing, and showing extra care to the small details, she is flirting. Trying to make a man jealous isn't a way to help him show caring. It's frustrating, and when a woman is upset with a man because he is jealous, it's something that he won't make a difference on. The stress of not commenting about being jealous, or being told there is no reason to feel the way he is, even though she is making it be so. Either way, he is wrong.

Regarding the "ask her directly":
my experience is that women who like you will not say so when asked directly. Quite the opposite, they will say whatever comes to mind, except the truth about their attraction to you. They may even say they don't like you (at least not as a potential boyfriend), but keep on sending signals that they actually _do_ like you... And then they complain that men loose interest in them.

- she was on a trip 5+ time zones away, in a different country. While there, she called me on the phone, and we talked for five hours. The only reason we stopped talking is that the batteries in my cordless phone died.
- we were out walking one day. I sat down on a park bench to rest my legs. Within five seconds, she was sitting right next to me, with her head on my shoulder.
- she manoeuvred herself into a party I was invited to, and wanted a lift both there and back. This was a minimal extra distance for me to drive. But when I came to pick her up, she had a mattress and bed clothes with her. I thought nothing of this, other than that she wanted to move these form her parents house (where I picked her up) to her own house, where I expected to drop her off. But after the party she wanted to go to my place, including the mattress and bed clothes. Once in my place, she invited me to share the mattress with her.
I can't interpret any of these actions as other than signs of interest in me, as something else than as a friend. But I am open to being corrected.
All of the things she says are things that women do when they're bored and want attention.
I remember this one girl I worked with used to try and get me in trouble with management and also complained I made her uncomfortable. I took these as signs she was being flirtatious. I haven't seen her in years but I think this is just her playing hard to get. :)

Yes I can confidently say that in my 23 years on this planet none of these things have ever happened to me lol. Girls initiating contact and coming up close to me? Hahahaha certainly not. Joyanima is not saying, "This is what is right and why aren't you paying attention to us," she is saying, "These are the female tendencies of which you should be aware, because of how women tend to instinctively communicate." She isn't saying that all of these are correct. She even looms uncomfortable, to me, when talking about the "make him jealous" part. This isn't about what is correct; it is about communication, so that men can make a more informed decision as to whether or not to react.

Could you help me out. I'm quite confused what to do in this situation I'm placed in. I've been talking to this girl for 2 months in person and been talking almost everyday online for over a month. She's showing showing alot of these signs but when were talking 2 weeks ago, she slightly mentioned her boyfriend but acted weird like sad when she said it, and was looking at the ground. I have no idea why she wouldn't have mentioned him sooner. She always gets close to me and wants me to stay and talk.

She's monkey branching- she wants to trade up to you but needs you to validate her leaving her current situation. I'd advise encouraging this and then pump and dump and explain why you did so she changes her behavior going forwards. And im not the jealous type so I don't like making the guy I like jealous.
