Hard to believe Clapton could turn such a tragic event in his life into one of the most beautiful songs ever written. What a beautiful tribute to his son!

I love this song I play it just a little different than Clapton. Cause the chords he uses are unfamiliar too me. But what beautifull song. Not just the melody but the words as well. I'm sure they will meet again in heaven.
A lot of beautiful songs are created from deep grieve. Loss, grieve and pain give rise to the most transforming pieces of art and help other people to heal their pain. True artists are healers without presenting themselves as healers. Don't take this reaction as me being smart... just adding to the love!

He hit the west coast a while back and i saw him in buffalo NY before i even knew who he was it changed my life.
Today would have been my son’s 45th birthday. It appeared in my feed today. Every year I always play this on his birthday. Having it just show up, reminds me someday I will see him again.

A friend of mine's mom is battling cancer and is in her last days.... It's so tough to face such times especially for my friend... It's such a song that makes you realise what true love feels and the pain of losing it... Hoping the best for his mom.... Thankyou for such good music

Eric Clapton wrote this inspiring song with his very soul. His sense of loss regarding his four year old son, Connor, and the tremendous and enduring love Eric still has for Connor is profound. I think "Tears In Heaven" is the most beautiful song that Eric has ever written and one of the most beautiful songs ever written. And Tommy and Igor have created a wonderful rendition of Tears In Heaven for a new generation.

This a truly beautiful collaboration between two unique artists . Tommy plays the lead part with all sensitivity the song deserves . He manages to totally capture the tragic death of Clapton’s child Conor with such genuine heartfelt playing .

The 2 (in my opinion) best guitarists... one of the best songs for guitar... how can this not be amazing?
Well Igor is obviously not even close to the level of Tommy Emmanuel. TE is probably the best guitarist this world has seen so far. Igor does make nice covers, but is not on the top level like TE, Andy McKee, even Django Reinhardt or Chet Atkins.

I can't believe anyone would hit an unlike button. They are great players. Better than any of the shredders on the top 10 lists. Any guitarist can get faster and throw out a bunch of meaningless notes. These guys make every note part of a whole story.

I was fortunate enough to see him live and meet him a few days back . I have seen them all . Clapton mason Mayer and so many more . But after watching him with just a guitar it's probably the finest playing I have ever seen

Ha!!! My thoughts exactly. I've listened to both Tommy & Phil play live around Coffs Harbour (NSW North Coast of Australia) & while it was nice at the time, my guitar ended-up back in the case & under the bed, such was the effect it had on me. BTW I'm liking Igor's guitar style too. Thanks gents.

I saw Tommy with Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo back in June. They were awe inspiring, even better than when Tommy first came here last year on his own. I'd love to see him and Igor come to town and do a couple of sets. :)

I was listening to Tommy and Igor play this truly amazing song with such grace and perfection and decided to read some of the comments posted below....I can't believe the disrespect and crudeness that is posted on here. I am far from being a stick in the mud and like to have a good time as much as anyone else does so I could see these comments being posted on Pantera's or Lamb of G-d, etc., pages, but, not here. Tommy, along with Igor, have earned and deserve a lot more respect than this!!! Thank you for sharing your incredible talents with us, Tommy and Igor!!!

There's a really special pleasure in hearing a virtuoso who can melt your face off with his blistering speed tackle a slower song with absolutely perfect phrasing and musicality. I'm so tired of hearing "fast musicians" who shred without the kind of nuance and subtlety of Tommy's playing. I'm still in awe of his speed, but he has so much more to offer, too.
