"It's a part of life, sir, lying is a part of life"
It's hard to have sympathy for these guys, but this hit different. He knows what he's doing is wrong, but he's kept telling himself he needs to do it. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that his reasons for scamming are to put food on the table (rather than straight greed), but at the end of the day he took a dark path and knows it. If it's in his heart to find an honest living, I hope he does. But in the short term I assume he's just gonna keep scamming vulnerable people and that super sucks.
Just wanted to add that from what I understand a lot of scammers do feel like it's the only way to make enough money to put food on the table. A lot of them work for businesses and their bosses are the ones who get all of those thousands of dollars, not them. Also many of them go into their new job thinking it's a legitimate business, and when they find out what it is they are told that Americans have tons of money and they won't miss a couple thousand too much.
(Clarifying that a lot of scammers are just greedy, just wanted to emphasize how imo a lot of them probably would find an honest living if they could)

"robots can draw a circle"
3D printers and laser engravers would like a word with this man
Technically, those are robots.
Most CNC machines use G code to make shapes. So they can`t really draw circles or curves just lines, just a series of really short straight lines angled to make a circle when viewed from far enough
Everything in a G01 is in coordinates X Y Z .There are circular interpolation G codes as G02 or G03, this can do arcs and circles, but that's rare. Lines in X, Y, Z coordinates is the most common technique to use
@@maxfawin actually interpolation means nothing but getting points in between and making it more precise, but that still doesnt make it a perfect circle, you would theoretically have to reach inifnitely small...which has not been achieved yet and many have declared it can not be done in the physical realm
They can’t draw on their own. They need a human to tell them to draw something
With the incredible breakthroughs in AI generated images currently, that line about robots not being able to draw circles for a while hits pretty good xD

This Amazon scam was the scam that I saved my dad from. My dad handed the phone off to me so I could do all the computer stuff, and the absolute first thing I did was log in to my dad's account, and I pointed out to the scammer "I don't see this new purchase you're talking about." The scammer said something about how it's encrypted and how it won't show up on the site which made no sense to me. The moment I was told to download AnyDesk, I left the guy hanging in dead air for several minutes while I looked up information about that software, because I never heard of it before then. He hung up first; I guess he caught on to the fact that I was leaving him hanging on purpose. XD
