Im a new sub, cuz I also went through a bunch of things like you did w DMT and my own demons and thinking when I was younger that Christ and church is wack and all studying various paths, but at the same time, a scrap ton of things I've learned from other paths have helped me tremendously against my demons and in my own life and even brought me back to Christ. Like I kept doing this, falling and get back up, and falling and getting back up, and its all because I was so unconscious in my falls and my old patterns. And then as I cultivate being Self Aware, and being Aware of thoughts and Ego and letting them arise and pass away, without attaching to them and without identifying with them, has been like one of the biggest Swords in my tool box that has helped me against my demons and addictions. This is even practiced in Orthodox Christianity where they do the Jesus Prayer over and over which purifies your mind and its attachment and establishes being Self Aware. These Western Churches are missing this development of cultivating a heightened self Awareness and one pointed concentration on prayer or repetition of some sort. It awakens all these deeper things that give some aspects of self mastery but also there is also Love and Grace from Christ that empowers all the other things I just wrote about. And yea, im all f*cked up too, but I no longer fall like I used to where I was so close to dying from overdoses and addicted to lust and porn and women, and now all that stuff is gone, and all I do is drink just to keep the detox from all the other stuff at bay. Hope this all makes sense
@@chrxmeface I’m down to drinking once a month which is massive. It is a vice that also keeps me alive being able to do so after some time sober . We all cope in different ways but we all cope none the less . I’m glad you’re not diving into those other sins anymore friend . Good work .
I know that many come to Jesus Christ without churchgoing, but do you, personally, think churchgoing was vital to you accepting Jesus? Because I have always been deeply moved by depictions of Jesus in film, but I don't know how to believe by faith on my own. I've only been to church twice, when I was maybe 7. I have prayed most sincerely to Jesus on many occasions though, and it has been comforting if the issue was psychological/ emotional, but I am currently in a health crisis and my prayers feel impotent and unanswered when they regard my physical health. That seems to be a hurdle to belief for me, and I'm currently at a loss. I recognize that faith in Jesus is a moral boon for humanity. I see people’s lives transform, so I want that for myself, naturally; yet I can't understand the switch that gets flipped in people that allows belief to arise from agnosticism. For you, was it a concsious decision to ignore the need for evidence? Or was the seed of your belief born from the power you feel when you see depictions of him, or see what faith does for folk in your church? I know a proper response to this is non-trivial, so just know it would mean a whole lot to me. For reasons I don't claim to fully understand, you, Angelica asmr and Russell Brand are my primary bridges to findin Jesus, if that is even in the cards for me. Though, on a basic level, it is easy to understand that we each share a similar history of agnosticism.
i will answer this better in my next video. I can say now that it wasnt specific people or folks in my church , it was me finally giving into the power of a holy way of living . I fell again pretty hard after this video because when we are in the presence of God and true love , the devil comes for us harder then ever. I am back on my feet again and am going to church in the morning . The world is genuinely full of despair and evil because we are genuinely capable of evil.. but when we realise that the other side of that coin is the ability to be good and giving and selfless, we know that the devils hard hits could last forever and never hurt the way he wants them to. We only fall hard because there is a high place to fall from. The good in all of us is the gift and its up to us, not an outside power , but in us to give the world and that is Jesus, that is God . I suggest watching movies like, The jesus revolution, The shift, Gods not dead and the show , The Chosen . These are things i would cringe at even thinking of watching before but with all the fear and hate inducing reels and videos at our finger tips, watching shows of God are the best tools ive had to help me on this journey .
