This video is awesome! I have this exact kit from a different company and was so confused lol. I was thinking I’d still be able to use my center lock rotors but this clears it right up! Thanks a ton!
Tip use your left hand to grab the wheel by the hub, then inset spacer. I haven't done this but I have installed wheel by holding it at the hub, easy. And for people with only one hand you can use leg to hold wheel in place, and install can be done by lef tor right hand, jus thave to have axle and the bikes left nut ready. So no need to take bike off the stand
there are lots of video adapters for centerlock hubs to sixbolt rotors, but why am I looking for the other way around and they're not there? I mean, why doesn't anyone make a video adapter for a sixbolt hub to centerlock rotor?
Great clear unrushed video instruction. Excellent, but... DT Swiss adapter is better suited as it has the protruding 6 bolts on the splined centerlock to hold 6 bolt rotor in place with riveted washer plate on top then the external 16 tooth centerlock cap on top to tighten to 40nm ? ... why? and my hubs are already boosted. I have a new Trance X 2 29 spec with excellent Shimano XT 203 and 180 Rotors CL .. I just prefer the feel of Magura MT-5 calipers and levers I have on my Trek Fuel EX plus...yet I need to change the rotors for wider brake track as it doesn't like the Shimano rotors... Too narrow and so vibrates? My Trek doesn't do that... From to experiment
Has anyone know if an adapter like this exists but. It’s the other way round. I want to put centre lock rotors onto a 6 bolt hub. I can not find the adapter anywhere. Can anyone help?
Clever piece of kit. That’s going to help a lot of polygon D owners specifically. Nice find!
Hey, guess what I just ordered to use on my D7?

If available for your hub. I would use new 5mm longer end caps on the hub. I could not imagine messing with those 5mm spacers on the trail.
What an interesting conversion. I never though to look for such a thing. Thanks Gene! 🤘

Is the thru axle designed to take vertical and shearing loads? I had the impression it was more of a clamping device, similar to a skewer 🧐🧐
Too expensiove fore me :( Have anyone found cheaper alternative?
Interesting solution, it is amazing what people figure out some times, thanks for posting.
Next episode: How to decontaminate rotors after you run your hands all over then the entire video. LOL
You're a magician m8. Saved me £££. Thanks
Cool part. Nice find!
cool..everything should have good work arounds like this so upgrading is easy and available ..thanks
Great find!
i would have used Grease to hold the Red Spacer to the hub
Tough to do on the trails but a great idea when working on the bike in the shop. Thanks! 👍
Now by adding that 3mm spacer on the drive side will this affect the shifting at all or does it require derailleur adjustment? Thanks
These are for the front wheel.
Are you using the axle that the bike came with or did you have to upgrade that as well when you added the boost adapter?
Hey Gene, is this the only place to get this adapter looks like amazon has one, I am not for sure it’s the right one though.
Just realised.. mines a Quick Release. How do I get thru axle in ??? Sorry new to Mtb

this is can use when fork is 15/110 and rims 15/100 ???
DT Swiss centerlock adapter is best in my opinion
I need exact opposite , does that exist , i want to fit a centreline to 6 bolt hub?
I'm not sure about that. Sorry, wish I had an option for you.
Link to order 😁
How does the rotor not move with no screws?
The inner collar has 6 pins that stick out. I try to shiw that in the video. Sorry if it was not clear
Oh right. Ok.
Does It work for the rear?
This one is not for the rear but they do sell one for the rear. When looking at the product page you need to make sure you select "Front or Rear".
You didn't mention torque values on the adapter.
40Nm
Is anybady that figure the video title is wrong?
Glue those spacers in place
That's an option for sure.
where can I buy?
Link in the description for you.

bummer that they are in the UK its going to take awhile to get here XD
It only took 9 days to arrive. I realize that's not Amazon Prime kind of shipping but it's certainly not China times.
the one i use gives me disc rub
well done
Thank you! These little guys really helped me out ;-)
