I want to say thank you for doing this. This arcade game is possibly the very first arcade I've seen in my life, I would have been maybe 7 or 8 years-old at the time. I didn't actually play it that much myself, but I would often watch when others played (I didn't have much spare change to play, and too young to venture out into Arcades alone; I often went with my father but we wouldn't stay very long, maybe 30 mins and we'd leave, but I always checked to see if someone was playing this game).
Nostalgia aside, it's a solid game considering the year (and considering the few select Superman games that did exist at the time). Something interesting to note about Taito's Superman, it was actually _never_ ported to a single other platform, ever. This game has remained an Arcade-exclusive ever since released. To this very day, the only way to play this game is to either own the actual cabinet, or to emulate it (which is a bummer). It should have been ported in some kind of Taito's Greatest Hits collection, it could have happened long ago on maybe SNES / Genesis, or PS1; but alas, nothing of the sort was ever done.
In retrospect, of course, today this game might seem archaic and not worth porting, but it's easy to think so 30+ years later. It would have been worth doing it back then for sure.
Anyways, thank you, good video. This helps preserve video games in a way, at least in our collective memories. Because this game has indeed been forgotten.

I am so happy for read your comment, I can totally relate to your comment and I had the same feelings when I first played this game like 30 some years ago. me and my brother both played it since it was 2 player game. I also liked Genesis Superman, it was kinda similar to this one.
