In 2019, they lost 2 of their key linemen to FA, Havenstein missed most of the year, Whitworth was a year older, and late round picks had to start for the Rams most of the year. Then while rehabbing he has to listen to everyone calling for Foles to start despite the MOST important and sole person in making that decision, Pederson, stand by Wentz and say he's the starter. He starts out not so great in 2018, gets hurt AGAIN, watches Foles get into the playoffs AGAIN, win a ROAD playoff game as a 6 seed, go up 2 TDs on the road vs the 1 seed Saints and looking like they'll REPEAT. After that last playoff run, Wentz's time in Philly was done and drafting Hurts was the nail in the coffin. Even as the unquestionable starter in Indy, it's a dysfunctional organization and he had ZERO chance to succeed. The guy gets a bad rap but it's truly Shakespeareian with respect to his fall from MVP Frontrunner to backing up Taylor Heinicke in a cesspool that is Washington.
