I wish I’d found this video months ago!! I even phoned Nespresso the previous time and was talked through the descaling process because none of the official Nespresso videos worked.

Oh my gosh. Thank you for making this video. Your clear instructions and visual step by step process is exactly what I needed. You saved me from throwing my machine out the window (kidding...kind of). lol
Your video was so helpful, better than all the videos I have watched, including Nespresso. I was watching RUclips last night, and it just happened yours was on. What a money saver! It was my last resort before calling the company. I was able to descale, clean and get the white light on/off back, and brew a cup. Before I had constantly flashing orange light.

Thank you for great tutorial. That said you went the fastest during the more complicated parts/steps instead of slowing down for them. Had to keep going back and replaying. No need to fast forward
the 7 seconds hold part etc

Ok thats great so here’s the sequence: add water and descaler, unlock and then press and hold button for 7 seconds, lock, unlock press and hold button for 7 seconds, then lock and press to enter descale mode. It would be so much simpler if Nesspresso simply wrote this out as a flow diagram…. BTW all descaler is the same chemical……..

An excellent tutorial! Thanks Meaghan! I might add that if the machine won't enter descale mode, I've found unplugging the machine then plugging back in has resolved that issue and descaling process can be started as you describe.

I am so happy to find this video. Finally a clear explanation of how to descale this coffee machine. The official Nespresso guide is very confusing. They should offer Meaghan a job as a technical writer.

I literally gave up using my machine because I couldn't get thru this process as printed in the manual and my phone isn't compatible with pairing.

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

Thanks for the video. Finally got this to work. You need to wait in between steps to see the fast blinking orange. This is beyond ridiculous though (especially for the price of these machines), there should be a descale button.

Thank you Meaghan! The whole procedure went well. After rinsing twice, the light kept on blinking when pressed, or even locked and unlocked, so I just unplugged. 😂
