- Hey all,
It's been a good while since I've sunken my teeth into a good Misko project. This is his arrangement of the gentle love song Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. The only fret that is used for the whole song is for one bass note and only two strings remain unchanged. Three firsts technique wise for me
1) Thumb percussion with harp harmonic
2) Reaching to detune with the right hand
3) Elbow bone bash the guitar
Alex, your brain has to be the most wonderful thing on Earth, never stop what you do.
Enjoy!
Oh man, this is just crazy!
You nailed it to every smallest detail, I really enjoy how consistent and smooth your playing is nowadays.
You should definitely be proud of yourself, this is the stuff I never ever expected to be covered with such grace.
I’m proud of you and of your immense progress.
Your hard work is inspiring.
You’re a blast!
Thanks Alex, I really appreciate the kind words. All the techniques flow a lot smoother than a few years ago, even the classical stuff I had trouble with years ago feels a lot easier. I'm glad you get some inspiration out of me :)
Great version, really cool approach to playing it
Your cover is clean asf
Lessons 😢
Breathtaking skills, I salute you. I expected only one player in the world could do this but you proved me wrong. Bravo.
Thanks Shaun! I truly loved learning your arrangement of Somebody to Love, listened to it by chance this morning. Cheers
Fantastic- thanks 🙏
Michael, absolutely impeccable!!! Never stop doing what you do either!
I remember the video with this song posted by Alex on YT on September 10, 2021. It was the last video performed with Lowden guitar❤
Superb performance
Absolutely insane!
Can I have the tabs please?
you got it alex also said that
where can i buy these tabs lol this is amazing
Gimme your email and I'll send em :)
may I know the tuning please?😢 me too I want to try😊
Heya, half the battle is setting the tuning up for the song XD
With the capo on 4th the strings are
1st - C
2nd - B -> A
3rd - G
4th - E -> D
5th - G -> F#
6th - D -> C
When setting up banjo tuners you ALWAYS lock the high note first then come down to the low note.
Good luck :)
Hey can you please tell me from Where you get these banjo tuners set I also want it and I am big fan of Alexander misko...I am also a guitarist and you are playing amazing and please tell me from where did you buy the banjo tuners
Hey mate, they are Keith Banjo tuners made by Beacon Banjo company, invented by Bill Keith and his friends. You can buy 3 of the pairs for guitar for a total of 6. I recently bought one for the 6th string with the smaller spool which made the 6th string a lot easier (second link). The extra one for 6th string is optional, the normal tuner is fine for 4 Days of August but very difficult with Wonderful Tonight. Finally add some fine violin tuners that you get ordered to your local music shop (talk to whoever can supply them). They are Model 901 on the third link.
Good luck!

Wow that is class mate. Played just as well as the master himself. Props sir!
please tell me how these pegs are called and where to find them
Hi mate, they are called Keith Banjo Tuners, designed by Bill Keith. For the 6th string I recommend buying the second link as it's very hard to control with a typical one (second link). The rest are the normal ones (first link).
Good luck!
