😭😭😭 Wu Tang Forever
He the best
Is the cream milk or coconut
Thank you! I used milk, heavy cream and cream cheese! It was amazing!
I used blue cheese once and it was so good and Wu Tang Forever.
As if I didn't love Chef John enough he does a Wu Tang reference. I love you man!!!
No joke, I've become a pretty damn good cook because of chef John and his outstanding videos. I appreciate him and his channel and videos. Thanks Chef 😊
I taught myself to be a good cook but chef John came along and I continue to improve. However Jacques Pepin is miles ahead of Chef John in teaching people how to cook.
@@Kingfisher1215 Don't forget Julia Childes.... I learned a lot from watching her as well. Jacques and Julia are another level when it comes to cooking. Pioneers of TV cooking programming.
I used to watch his chanel when i didnt know a thing 7y ago... now im pretty above average cook, and accidentally stomped on these videos.. nostalgia
Thank you chef that is great.🌺🌹
freakishly small wooden spoon should have a fan page

I didn't see that coming but it was funny lol!
He's light-$kinned. Hahahhahahahha
Finally! Someone making creamed spinach with cream! I can always taste the flour when it's made with a roux and it tastes flat. My grandmother taught my Mom and they taught me to make it with cream. I loved this even as a kid (what kid likes spinach? Me!)! They used onion but I always use shallot like Chef John (my new kitchen guru!). My technique is a bit different and I've never used lemon zest or a clove but I'm definitely going to try it. You won me over, Chef John. New fan, new subscriber. Thank you!!
i love it whenever the freakishly small wooden spoon makes an appearance!
Chef John, you are the man! Thank you for all the videos!
OMG! IT’s baseball season-Spring Training in Florida’23 and I have made them 3 times in 3 weeks! I had leftover prime rib and then beef tenderloin, which took them to a whole new level! Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! Love Love your Wings as Well!!❤😊
Dolla dolla bill y'all!
I laughed out loud and startled the cat.
Overthinks My cat said that and startled me
I've literally made this recipe once a week for about two years now .... a perfectly cooked steak (medium rare ofc) and wack a good load of this creamed spinach on top is just HEAVEN. I'm not as keen on the other (traditional) creamed spinach recipe that Chef John does where you make a roux .... I think this simple one is just way better and far less hassle too!
This is by far the most delicious-looking creamed spinach recipe video I’ve seen.
Chef John is so pleasant and fun to listen to!
If someone is passionate about cooking, it's this guy.
Thank you Chef John! My go too for the basics. Always a huge help! Happy Holidays!!!
I made this tonight as a side dish for beef tenderloin and chimichurri sauce. It was amazing! Thank you Chef!
I made this today and it was amazing! Super easy to do and you get lots of great flavors
Love this guy.. "get the money.. dollar dollar bill y'all " 😂

I simply love this recipe for creamed spinach!!! ❤️
I LOVE your videos. They're informative and incredibly witty! Thank you.
This came out lovely I tried it even with kale! Delicious!
I just made for dinner, it was great. My husband loved it.
Thanks for the short and sweet video with great instruction! Can't wait to try shallots because I've been curious!!
I have always loved the way Chef John says "Enjoy" at the end of his videos. You can tell he is really a happy person....... "ENJOY!!! Chef John"..."ENJOY!!" :O)
Just made this right now without using cream and it was still incredible!
Love your recipe John!
I do the same thing with rapini.
I drop the rapini into salted and boiling water, stir for around 5-6 minutes, drain in colander for around 30 minutes, then sauté good fats, with minced shallots, anchovy, butter, avocado oil, sauté until savory and then add the rapini and stir for a couple of minutes. It’s really great cold the next day, inside a baguette sandwich, maybe add some prosciutto and grated mozzarella. You can put it in the salamander.👨🏻🍳
your voice is so PLEASANT!!!!!
Alecia
Agreed! Plus his voice has that perfect volume and tone for narration. 😎
Alecia C. Thank you. I get compliments about it all the time.
CREAM!! Get the money dollar dollar bill ya'll 😎

Looks awesome!.. Can't wait to try this! Thanks Chef!
Chef, as a consistent viewer I must say that you do have videos post in the late hours considering California time. I was thinking the top comments were crazy but you do tease the lively crowd with amazing sustenance!!
Another awesome recipe for getting vegetables into the kids. Quite pleased.
Chef, you are so inspiring! And nice, too!
Love creamed spinach and kept messing it up when I tried to make it, but after doing this recipe....not any more! lol gorgeous! would defo recommend.
Watching this in 2020. Great recipe. Thanks chef!
I made this spinach cream side dish today. It turned out really good. I only wish I knew how much seasoning i really needed to put. It kinda taste spicy to me. I'll try it again. I hope it comes out even better next time. Thank you for the recipes!
Just made this recipe today , taste awesome
Mr Jon thank you for your better healthier recipe of cream spinach 👍
We are having a guest over for dinner tonight, a foodie friend who I know loves steak. Back when I lived in NYC, we used to go out to restaurants together at least once a week. I'll be making, along with a steak my husband is grilling, this creamed spinach and the fondant potatoes. Everyone loves the fondant potatoes. I don't know why those went out of fashion.
Spinach is awesome and creamed spinach ala Chef John is even more awesome!
OMG!!! I cracked up a dolla dolla bill ya'll!! Love you
Made this tonight. It was delicious!
I love Chef John and I've learned a lot. But Jacques Pepin has still taught me more. That's no put down to John, it's just at Jacques is the master.
i just ate this yesterday in Rays Steaks House fell in love with it and the come mister Master John to save me the time of looking it up and hand it over so i can try it. best channel ive ever subscribe :)
Excellent recipe, great consistency, love the emphasis on getting every bit of water out of the spinach before putting it in the sauce. Perhaps because I had salted my steak and also the fried potatoes, I found the creamed spinach too salty and will adjust the recipe next time. Great spinach!
Your hip hop plugs are the BEST!
Many of your side dishes are my main dish.
LOL, Chef John... you make my day!!
thank you. This came out delicious
I just tried this, AMAZING! :)
I don't even like Spinach. i just like watching your videos, Chef John! :D
I dislike the taste of spinach, and never plan on making this recipe, but I watched the video anyway because I love the soothing vibrations of chef John's vocal chords. This man is truly a legend.
I wonder how many of your subscribers actually got that sweet Wu Tang reference. Well done, sir.
Somebody please tell me who the Heck is Woo Tang?????
Learn something new every day.
@@terrencebradley5417 Wu Tang Clan(aka Wu Tang) is a rap group.
That looks so delicious!!!
Thank you chef John for making great food easy and most importantly 'CHEAP'!
**Chef for Prez**
I just made this and added a clove of garlic. I also didn't add the cheese because I didn't want to buy it. It was still so good!!
Amazing this recipe, thanks for sharing! ☺
Love the addition of shallots to this recipe,I'll give it a try
I love Chef John and I got a bonus with the Wu-Tang reference!!
I could see chef john rocking a wu-tang gold medalion.
When he said that, it cracked me up, and put a big smile on my face.
Yummmy love Spunach thank uou😋
Love this channel
...that wu-tang reference caught me OFF GUARD!! haha, so cool! one love!
You were always unofficially the coolest chef on earth, but that Wu Tang quote just made it super official.
If you happy and you know it put it on a plate! Nice!! Recipe!
This is perfect!
When Chef John mentioned 'C.R.E.A.M / C(ash) R(ules) E(verything) A(round) M(e)'....... I knew I had to step out of my home with my t-shirt that says the exact thing! Not only is Chef John a great chef... He also has you styling yourself for the day lol!
thank you for the recipe. I want to change here and there since I cook it for my diet
Omg you just became my hero...I will chef! I will get the money!
I made this last night and it was super easy and tasted AMAZING.
I skipped the parmesan also. Didn't need it at all.
What an awesome video, thank you.
I absolutely love spinach either raw, or cooked in foods, but I've never liked it by itself like that as a side. Not because of the taste, because I love the taste of it, but because of it's texture. I really want to try that because it looks SO delicious, but I'm so scared of that texture, lol. One day I might just have to shirk my fear and give this recipe a shot. At the very least, if I can't manage the texture, I can use it as a naan or quiche filling and the amazing taste would remain. :D
Looks good!!
Wow that's delicious!
I rewinded the dolla dolla bills yal thing like six times!! Loved that!!
Soy, rice or oat cream is equally great or actually even better than dairy for sauce like this❣️❣️❣️ Yum, yum & super yum❣️ ☺️
Get the money, dolla dolla bill, y'all... I LOVE IT!
Almost as much as I love this recipe.
Yes, I've already tried it :)
I am drooling😋
Hi Chef John Thanks I am subscribing I love your videos.. thanks for sharing...
He's awesome.
Lol! Cream get the money. Dollar, dollar bill ya'll. Classic! Great narration for a quick and easy dish.
This is my favorite channel haha (:
"get the money, dolla dolla bill yall." Love it!
I don't add cheese at the end but I have topped with lightly toasted slivered almonds (toast in a dry skillet, watch like a hawk!). Lightly toasted almonds are the bacon of the nut world to me! Good on everything!
Chef, I went to a restaurant by the name of Vivere here in Chicago and I ordered cremé bruleé(fantastically made), served with the cremé bruleé was some kind of jelly. The food thing about this jelly it's that wasn't sweet out was just perfect. I would love to see a cremé bruleé recipe with a topping as unique as theirs...a fan
Monique Davis I'm giving you a thumbs up because of Chicago
Love it!😆
You have a great voice. You sound so encouraging and sweet :-)
Chef John: The last person i would expect to make a Wu-Tang reference.
I often (I'm a once a week spinach eater) use a large dab of butter in the pan and before the spinach starts too wilt too much I add a bit of brown sugar and a bigish spoonful of seeded mustard (mild) on top... then after a while I add a little milk. I never have cream in the house because it goes out of date before I have a chance to use it. Never even thought of using it with spinach... I will now!
