What a machine, incredible, i was thinking if i were one of your customers i'd probably prefer the two rows of seats back to back in the center of the bed to have a nice view of the environment
Cool truck alright! I do wonder tho about tipping over? All that weight, all that height, looks like it could be top heavy with high center of gravity. Especially with the passenger seats all full. Be interesting to do a test. Strap one side to a big tree to prevent an actual roll-over, then pull it from the other side. Idea is to learn what is the max safe angle for it.
It’s a beast for sure. Unimogs are iconic off-road vehicles very much like the Pinzgauer and Volvo C303. IMO you’re running tires that are way too big for that size uni. It’s now very top heavy, a PITA to get into and the stress the bearing, seals and portals running 54” tires isn’t worth the near future cost of repairs. 42s or 45” tires would have been a much better choice especially if you plan to do recoveries.
Had a German buddy who was in the German military stationed here in Canada and he had half a dozen Mogs of different years and models, i was lucky to out and ride off road in a few of them before the based closed and he moved back home to Germany, they go virtually anywhere you point them most of the time and the air lockers on them just work 99% of the time, the biggest tire he had was i think was a 47" tire, they were German military issue for certain Mog models, he bought them surplus and being military they got them cheap, you might be surprised at how many parts are still available for them, and very pricey i might add, cool video 👍
I've watched many dozens of Mog vids on the WWW, Those are the largest tires I've seen on one. Do I understand correctly? You are using electric winches , not hydraulic winches ? I can't imagine what the insurance company wants to cover the customers . The only reason I play the Powerball is that I might own a mog. Will look forward to seeing more of it in future vids, Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your adventures. It's appreciated. P.s. I'd need to wear my shooting muffs in that cab.
Sexy, sexy machine!!! I sold mine because I was going broke trying to get it close to the condition of yours. I'll try again with a DOKA in the future. Happy wheeling and excellent work you two!!!
Great idea, cab is designed around a 5 ft 6 in asian man. (Because that's who made it). You can build one cheaper with a 1 ton frame a welder and whatever size tires

Well when u build your own u can put a rocket an go see Uranus
The scale probably rounds to the nearest 50#. Megan is under 130 #. To get you out of the dog house.

why would you think so? Unimog is totally way over built and those tires are actually not that heavy.
@@JayHe-l8sbut the tyres do give a lot more leverage on the hubs. It has got to be a factor in the wear rate of the bits.
Such an awesome build! Love the ol OBS too 👌😍🇨🇦
That’s dope. Y’all did a great job sewing those seats.

P.s.

Nice touch to pull out the optional ramps on the trailer😂
Absolute beast of a truck
You have a crane setup for the spare tire?
Yes a bed mounted winch, not installed in this video
Very nice. You should’ve gotten out and looked at the empty weight. It would’ve been funny if the scale only took off 100 lbs for you. Lol
I think you need some sort of step up to help scramble into the cab!!
If you reverse the treated the tires would make better paddles in bogs.
But it would hydroplane at every puddle at speed.
150 lbs? OMG!
im in bend if you ever need someone to film for a recovery man lmk
😮

I can’t imagine doing what you’ve done to that Unimog with those GSP’s 😖.
She is just 150 pounds, most US girls weight 150 kg.
Sherpamog!
9,999lbs. 👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
my 02 cumins with flat bed and campers is 10000 lbs
I'm thinking 11,500

This is a Mercedes Benz built in Germany and is much stronger than a one ton frame.
Looks great! Think about extending the roll cage over the cab to protect the windshield from the trees
13000 lbs...
She sure doesn’t look like 150 lbs !! Lol
Enter me in the Unimog giveaway. Thanks 👍
To much talking . More off roading.
Wow! My guess is 1375lbs, I miss my Unimogs. settling for my old Landcruisers. Wow 10K im surprised!
One dollar Bob!
Hold on, wrong program. I’d say 13750 lbs
I know it’s lighter than that but it was a South Park monster reference. He always wanted $37.50
14000lb
