Exploring Middle Earth on a Motorbike (Lord of the Rings Film Locations) | Part 4

It’s time to explore Middle Earth on my motorbike. In this episode, I decide to ride inland and visit some iconic Lord of the Rings film locations as my South Island of New Zealand tour continues.
First up is Edoras (The Capital of Rohan). After hiking to the top of Mount Sunday where the city set was previously built for The Two Towers film, I take in the stunning panoramic views of the Rangitata Valley. I then head further north to Helm’s Deep. Located in a gorge on Black Mountain, I fly my drone across the valley and get a glimpse of where the fortress lay.
After my first night of wild camping, I ride up the Lilybank Road in Lake Tekapo. It’s another off-road adventure as I test the DR650 against loose rock and numerous river crossings.
