    Great video. I think I may have been to yer relatives place a few years back. Is Ed a relation? He had grapes growing on his place and an OUTSTANDING collection of yellow iron! Cheers and thanks fer great video!

      Ed is my father. Thanks for remembering him. I planted the grapes 20 years ago and they are doing well. Hard to tell what the interests are of viewers. I mainly do these videos to entertain dad and record how we maintain the old machines for my son. I have plenty of field work to do this time of year. Maybe I’ll get the Diesel 75 out for fun. Thanks.

      @@TJAkin That would be amazing to see. I recall a Pratt n Whitney engine outside the shop! I am sure its an expensive start but ed said it really made a great sound! Cheers from Santa Cruz sir!

    Would like to see more of the Lima 34 Shovel. I have one just like it. what state are you in?

    • @TJAkin
      @TJAkin  Год назад +1

      California. El Dorado County. Thanks for noticing the shovel. The stick and house operate fine but doesn’t steer when traveling. I’ll get into the details in a future video. Otherwise, it’s in good condition. It’s been re-engined with a modern diesel and was on a Hollywood movie set a couple years ago. I should throw a couple batteries in and exercise it this Spring. Curious about yours now.

      @@TJAkin steering is just sliding jaw clutches. Should be easy to get working again. I have some videos up of mine.

    20" pads on that ol' gal? Keep them shined up.

      Yep, those are the 20 inch. Pretty good flotation in the vineyard. I've used it to pull my Kubota wheel tractor out of the Springtime mud more than a few times.
